So, I was able to sustain a HD video streaming, while on the go, through Farmington Hill, Novi, Northville, Livonia, and Redford, without buffering.

I live and 6 Mile & Farmington and get consistent TD-LTE at my house mostly around 106 dbm and great download speeds. Too bad it doesn't stick when leaving my house.

Ann Arbor is struggling a bit. Downtown is good though. Stadium area is great-when nothing is going on.

Went south to Adrian, Michigan where my family all lives and they had some B41 goodness. A drive from the Adrian Cinema to Walmart on the other side of town showed B41 for most of the drive.

I was actually impressed because nearly a month ago on my last visit it was non-existent. Then again were talking about Adrian which was a heavy Sprint area to begin with because Verizon didn't get good coverage until 2008.

Wish Ann Arbor/Ypsilanti would have coverage this good.

Sprint would never be near a safe sex store. Where is the promiscuous slut corner? That's where you'll find the NV gear. [emoji38]

I have been in Michigan since Friday (Ypsilanti, Ann Arbor, Lansing) and the network is much improved since my last visit over the winter. Probably not as easy to see progress on a daily basis, but I can definitely see it after several months. There are some areas that could use a new site to fill in coverage gaps, but that's another issue..

  • 2 weeks later...

Ann Arbor is improving in some areas. Campus and Stadium area, and westgate are 20-40/10-15. The outlying areas like M-14 @ Maple road rarely exceed 5/1, same with Plymouth/23.  By high school, Pioneer & Huron are best (20-30/10), Skyline worst (5/1). Tmobile still beats Sprint in most areas.

    • Was in Red Hook again and I swear there are more Link5G sites as there are Verizon, T-Mobile, and AT&T small cells combined in the entire neighborhood. It seemed like every other street I turned down had one installed. Hopefully carriers will start hopping on them soon. Seems like a lot of effort to go through for no one to use them.  — — — — — T-Mobile converted the Sprint site on top of NYU Langone Brooklyn in Sunset Park. I first mapped one sector of it back in November 2023 but I thought it was a small cell so I never pinned it but I ran into another sector today which caught me off guard. I'm unable to find a permit for the conversion so it's definitely a surprise. There's another T-Mobile site 1 block away that T-Mobile initially installed back in 2019 so I'm kinda surprised they're keeping both considering the Sprint conversion is on a much taller building and coule potentially provide much better coverage to the entire area.
    • Still not seeing any ULS postings for pending T-Mobile UScellular merger in Dane county Wisconsin.
    • Came across another Crown Castle Solutions multi-tenant oDAS node in Brooklyn. Located at 40.7002286, -73.9612666. Nothing on T-Mobile or AT&T so I'm assuming these are all Verizon nodes that Crown Castle is anticipating another carrier will hop on down the line.
