Here is the SCP capture of site in Fenton (PCI 241) with the second Band 41 carrier. Notice there are 2 LTE "neighbor cells" detected from PCI 241. Interesting considering we are in the IBEZ and I was considerably far away enough from the site that I do not believe the phone was detecting another sector.

Engineering screen capture while connected to PCI 241 Sector 01 showing I am on the commonly found EARFCN 40978.

This is what initially caught my attention. Sector 04 in a Samsung market?? Hmmm.....

Second carriers have the same serving cells if from the same sector. 03/04/05 signifies second second and the 41176 earfcn is the center frequency for the 20 MHz block immediately adjacent to 40978.

Are you on the latest SignalCheck version? You should be seeing a little "2" in the app indicating the second carrier.. it will show up for 04/05/06 sectors. Currently working on adding an indicator for Ericsson users who see 03 as a second carrier as well.

Running 4.28 and checked Google Play to verify no updates are available.

What you see is what you get with the screen shots. The only thing I altered was I blacked out site addresses.

Are you sure your code is called while on band 41? Band 41 second carrier is not wide spread yet maybe the lack of an indicator has gone unnoticed. Looks like it was not working in florida nv2 sector "3B" also.

He's talking about 2nd PCS LTE carrier.

First two are at Schoolcraft, Middlebelt, and Merriman.

The second two are at Newburgh and 5 Mile.uploadfromtaptalk1434175914072.pnguploadfromtaptalk1434175921934.png

Hopefully these upload correctly.

How does one tell whether they are on the second carrier or not? I know to check the EARFCN but I'm not sure what to look for.

Same tower different frequency. GCI sector gives a hint it maybe second carrier but you should check for a different frequency to make sure.

Your profile shows you using a LG G3.I get to the engineering screens on my LG G2 and G Flex by dialing ##DEBUG#.

Does this help.

A little detective work using a couple different tools. For example, I know that in my area of SE Mich that Band 41 is primarily on 40978 on Sectors 00, 01, and 02 (Samsung market). Now we're seeing Sectors 03, 04, and 05 popping up and checking the LTE Engineering screen is showing us that the "new" sectors are using 41176.

Thank you, now I know what to look for.
