Sgt. Slaughter
Which site is that? I've looked at the 70/401 split on the north side of Downtown Raleigh, and on the south side of Raleigh, and I don't see a site marked on our maps nor a blip on Sensorly. So I'm not certain what you're debating. Is this a member report I missed? Robert via Nexus 7 with Tapatalk HD Oh yeah wasn't directed at what you've reported here. Just the new member on here I was responding to... I did go out to it and saw new cabinet but that's it... Thanks! Robert via Samsung Note II via Tapatalk Yeah I would. 2 new cabinets were placed on the sprint platform. Weren't labeled yet with site number as that was still on the legacy cabinet. The new cabinet is beefier than the old one though I do say. Ill snap a pic next time I drive by it. icculus
2 towers every day or two, is this pace even possible?? Still waiting for something in the brier creek/RTP area, grrr. Brier creek has got to be the worst area in wake county in regards to having a near full signal but being unable to load google.com there is an LTE site at page rd/tw Alexander. Don't think its live, but the equipment is installed.

That's where I always ride my dirt bike :-) The 3g speed is actually pretty good there though.

4ginnc
Doubt if you will...I saw the tower map. Don't doubt it's complete (check sponsor maps). It's just not broadcasting LTE. I drove by as well the other day and didn't get an LTE signal.

icmfal
picking up 4g on New Bern Ave / Corporation Pkwy. Unfortunately, the reach is not very far. you can barely get is across the street in the (former) Kroger Parking lot. Or at my house - across from the Kroger parking lot. Go figure. nova46
My friend texted me earlier tonight and said he picked up LTE at Chapel Hill Rd and Maynard Rd in Cary. Haven't been there to test it yet but I trust his word.

I was kind of surprised to see it there. Robert I definitely will. Need to look harder at the RUUs as the first time I did not see any new antennas with RUU stack like sprint has been doing... Only RUUs I saw up at antennas were the single RUU for what ever carrier is deployed like that. This tower is a cluster to tell ad it has att, cricket, sprint, clearwire, and I believe Verizon too ontop of some others... Anything in your documents specify which section of the tower they use by chance? Sent from my EVO using Tapatalk
4ginnc
Drove by the tower on I-540 and Six Forks last night and no LTE. Seems it hasn't been broadcasting since it was first completed as far as I can tell. Also, noticed the network was EVDO-RevA and not eHRPD. Ping times were in the 190ms range, don't recall exact download and upload speeds but it was far south of 1Mbps.

They have one new one per sector and on each sector arm they sit between 2 tiny skinny antennas on either side. Ill try to get pics up here tonight hopefully. The pic of the cabinets shows the new big darker brown cabinet installed. Sent from my EVO using Tapatalk 2
Sgt. These white boxes(not on the sprint platform) in the one pic I have no clue what they are there for at the tower or their purpose. http://www.imgur.com/KCViTv7.jpeg Edit: Put the pics in dropbox. Including the before pic of the platform so you can tell what 2 boxes were added exactly. http://db.tt/TgGma4cP Sent from my EVO using Tapatalk 2

icmfal
Check sensorly. I think you are on the fringe right now. I did that . LTE is running down Corporation by the Tower. In the old Kroger parking, it is a struggle for it to be connected. It was from me running Sensorly that the LTE is showing up down Corporation and as tow purple dots right across the street. The signal is apparently not reaching very far at the moment.

Would of expected more at start... Will check it tomorrow morning on way to work to see if it spikes with less users...wouldnt expect that many on it now already which is interesting...this site is notorious for being over capacity but hoping it was pure backhaul related before and not carrier related...Sent from my EVO using Tapatalk

Sent from my EVO using Tapatalk 2 There is no way your suburban Raleigh sector is over loaded on day one. No way. What is your LTE signal strength inside your home? Sgt. Slaughter
How strong is the signal inside your home? Robert via Samsung Note II via Tapatalk Reg signal shows 4-5 bars mostly... LTE data showed RSRP was 92 and RSRQ was 7... I did view this bounce some back n forth from those to 102 and 20 back and forth... Speed test showed 9/4 up/down Decent if it holds that speed when under load but odd to me bc I'd expect little to no other users on this thing already... Sent from my EVO using Tapatalk 2 Whatever is the cause of your speeds right now, I assure you it is not capacity. It is common to have backhaul provisioning issues at new sites. At a full speed, low usage site in Texas, I would get 25-37Mbps with signals stronger than -90dBm. I would get approx 10-25Mbps between -90 and -105dBm. I would get between 2-10Mbps between -105 and -115dBm, and something less than 3-4Mbps with weaker than -115dBm. However, if you backhaul is limited, or any part of the connection between your site and the core, or even within the core itself, these could cause slower speeds. It's possible that your backhaul may be limping along right now. Keep track of it and see what happens. Robert
