Network Vision/LTE - Oklahoma Market

This site, located between 3001 & 3333 on Base is an interesting tower. One can walk right up to it and touch it, and I saw no impediment to climbing the ladder to the top. But most of the cables run into an old brick building labeled NEXTEL and the others into a smaller building so nothing to see on the ground. Don't think the antennas reveal anything do they?

That is the one I hope they do next. I work in 3707 so that would be the one I connect to.

Those big panels look like the Nextel iDEN panels we have around here in New Mexico. The smaller one may be a Sprint legacy panel. But it's not one I'm familiar with.

This site and the other one on base look the same. Both are water towers.

Yep, that looks like a Synergy site. Remove one Nextel panel and add one for CDMA PCS use.

Ah 3707, it's been a while but I've been in that building. Still fixing LRUs in there? Adapted a TPS with a mini-USB cable for phone testing yet?

Five Oklahoma sites accepted in the outer Tulsa area on Friday. All only had 3G accepted, so far. And all were full builds. I'd keep an eye on these sites though. They may just have LTE come out of them expectantly. They are posted in the NV Sites Complete map over in the Sponsor section.

Three towers in Norman have construction permit granted

http://normantranscr...uilding-permits

Just checked OKC's permit site. Looks like a permit has been issued for the tower on SE44th (permit number - BLDC-2013-01708) Hopefully this is a sign of things to come....

How long do these upgrades typically take?

One near 44th and Eastern or 44th and Sooner?

I have tried finding building permits online for Midwest City but no luck so far. Anyone know where to look?

44th and Sooner.

It also looks like a bunch of permits were issued last fall

10/9/2012 - SW 119th & Western - Replace existing antennae on existing tower

10/22/2012 - SW 20th & Meridian - Spring Antenna Modiciation - Drive Train: Remove & replace 6 antennas, relocate 3 & add 3 cell cabinets

11/5/2012 - Rockwell & NW Expressway - Remove and replace one antenna, also to put new cabinets on the existing slab

12/5/2012 - SW 54th & Meridian (OKC Airport) - Add cabinets on existing footprint, replace 6 antennas

3/4/2013 - SE 44th & Sooner - Atenna and equipment installation only

Go to http://www.okc.gov/access/, then click the "Permits" tab and type"Sprint" in the "Application Name" box. That'll pull up everything for OKC.

Just drove by a site with a full build in Owasso. Four RRUs per panel. I'll get which specific site it is after I'm done paintballing.

I bet you could trade your iPhone 4S for a Galaxy S 3 if you play the deal right.

lol I'm sorta married to iOS. 5S though (if that's whatever they call the next iPhone) will be mine though.
