With Robert of S4GRU's blessings I'll tell you guys that this morning I saw on the completed NV sites map that there is a tower in Sarasota completed and loaded with LTE. I went to go try it this morning, and it is not broadcasting lte yet, but it is the tower just west of 75, just north of University. Looks like we are finally in LTE!

He's in between towers that aren't fully functional, if you head up gunnery towards gateway/jetblue park and Comcast you'll 4g consistently.

If I'm in between towers, am I going to have to live it dropping on and off? My phone doesn't like it when it happens. When 4G drops, my mobile data disconnects and stays disconnected for a long time. Many times I have to reboot the phone to get my data back.

You're either in a fringe zone, and picking up a distant, weak signal or a tower near you has been lot up and is being tested. Neither scenario uncommon of a nascent network. I'm sure your battery life is taking a big hit though! ;)

Yep, it kills my battery life.

I have an Airave, which gives me full signal, but the 4G still comes and goes.

What is your 3G signal like? If you have a moderate to strong 3G signal, then you will have a good LTE signal in time. Just means the tower closest to you hasn't been upgraded yet.

With the Airave I have full signal. Without it, it usually stays on 2 bars.

Then you may truly be between two towers. It's a stretch to get LTE on 2 bars, but not impossible. Do you have good WiFi? If so, then that really makes the LTE point moot since you can use that. Once 800 SMR is active, you likely won't need the Airave any more.

Hello...Connected to 4G in the industrial park near Naples Airport. Connected to 4G in Mediterra and Quail West in Bonita Springs! Got 4G all the way to Pewter Mug on 41.

Would you happen to have a LTEEvo, my friend has one and we could be right next to each other I'll have 4g he'll have 3g.

Yes, I have the LTE EVO.

Driving from Immokalee back to Lehigh on 82 I had 4G and was getting 8 down and 5 up. Dropped back to 3G when I got near home.

LTE is live and on Sensorly on I-75 and 275 in the Parrish area.

Looks like the tower I spotted a while back just south of the interchange on the east side of the freeway that had panels on it is active. Nice! With so many coming online lately I'll have to get out on the motorcycle and do some mapping and riding!

I was out on the motorcycle today enjoying the day and mapping at the same time. While out in the sticks on SR-62, about two and a half miles west of Stafford Rd around the 19000 block of SR-62, I spotted a tower on the south side of the road. The top section had Sprint LTE panels on it. Since I wasn't looking at the screen I don't know if it is live or not but if it is it should show on Sensorly. It may just be in progress however. This is just east of Parrish.

first time here... living in north port fl and working in sarasota fl.. noticing on sensorly that it seems i am surrounded by lte to my north and south. trying to decide if i should move to Tmobile and try hspa+ or stick it out and wait for Sprint LTE.

I also noticed on sensorly today some wimax coverage pop up on Venice on I-75. (or maybe i never noticed it before) is that also supposed to be coming this way? Been waiting forever for that. I always had to travel all the way to tampa for any wimax coverage. :-(

hoping that we hear or see something soon. would love to be able to make my decision soon. (by the end of may)

TIA

I was considering switching in November but when I found out Sprint was most likely being bought out, and then that LTE was coming to SWFL within 6 months, I decided to stay. I would bet Sprint is going to be a hell of a carrier within a few years.
