The best thing this announcement does for me is make my wife's upcoming iPhone 4S purchase cheaper.
-
I see what you did there.

Yes....yes it is...

I can also report that Sense reloads are very sporadic for me. They happen but so infrequently that I can't remember the last one. I can't imagine 50-100 times per day. If something like that is going on it's far from a bug or glitch. I would guess that your device is defective.

I get email notifications when someone quotes a post I make. When I saw the filename of the image that AJ posted I knew that I was not going to even view his post. I am typing this reply from the first page of this thread so that I don't even have to see what he put. As I said in another time and another place; some things are better left unseen. That is all! PS: As soon as I press send on this I plan on closing the window before the page refreshes. The things we must do to.....

How can LOCATION X get LTE before LOCATION Y?!
Odell replied to newspapercrane's topic in General Topics
I love when folks trot out the first amendment when talking about general speech. Here's the text with the relevant words bolded. If it doesn't deal with the government creating laws that prohibit or restrict free speech then the first amendment is irrelevant. That's why companies firing employees for what they say is not a first amendment issue. That's why sports teams prohibiting players from tweeting or texting about team issues is not a first amendment issue. -
As that pic was loading I was praying; "Please God, don't let him be a male exotic dancer in real life"! WHEW!!

When I saw this thread's title I was hopeful because I will be traveling to Spartanburg this weekend. Those hopes were quickly dashed.

These two posts should be quoted every time someone says; "A {Sprint/HTC} {rep/technician/guru/genius} told me so it must be true."

And another S4GRU thread goes quickly and irretrievably off the rails. I love this place!

Not that I know of but that has never stopped Rampant Speculation. He is usually followed by his cousin Profound Disappointment.

Thanks for the Media Sync tip. That worked perfectly. As for the file I was looking for; I thought it might be corrupt as well but it played fine in my music player so it couldn't have been too corrupted. The Evo just didn't like the filename apparently and refused to display the file. It would tell me that the file was indeed on the device and even show me where it was located but it refused to show the actual file. The nerve of my phone. Doesn't it know that I am its master and not the other way around!

I use Astro and have used ES before. Normally this isn't an issue but I downloaded a file with a bad filename. It was an audio file with just the dot and the extension. I wanted to delete it but it wouldn't show up in Astro. It would show up in a search but when I would go to the folder I couldn't see it. I was eventually able to delete it from within the music player app. I bet if I was rooted I could use Root Explorer and see the file. Oh well. I may start a ticket with Google to see if they can add the ability to change the folder location. Sent from my EVO LTE using Forum Runner

Thanks for responding. The settings were correct within the stock browser. I just assumed that Chrome grabbed the download location from the stock settings and that when the stock settings said "storage card" it was referring to mnt/sdcard and not the ext_sd. I just tested and the downloads from within the stock browser go where I want them so it's a Chrome issue. I can't find the setting anywhere in Chrome.

Sprint LTE August 2012 Schedule Maps
Odell replied to S4GRU's topic in Network, Network Vision/LTE Deployment
I can respect that. Can I ask a favor though? Can you please not make it a nice but loud issue here? -
When my browser (default or Chrome) downloads a file it places it in mnt/sdcard/Download. When I hook my phone (HTC Evo LTE) to my computer via USB I can only view files and folders that are located at mnt/sdcard/ext_sd. There doesn't appear to be any way in the default browser settings or in Chrome to change the location of downloads. Do any of you know how I can go about changing that location or making files and folders that are in mnt/sdcard/ viewable from my PC? I am not rooted and if I have to root just to gain this functionality then I'll do without it. I just don't want to root my phone at this time.

Network Vision/LTE - Baltimore Market (including Annapolis/East Shore)
Odell replied to lequonrobinson's topic in Markets
What's great is that much of what the article was saying regarding the technology of NV and LTE is stuff that I had already read here on S4GRU. -
Information about S4GRU Sponsorship levels and how to become a Sponsor
Odell replied to S4GRU's topic in Important Threads
Robert, if this is done, would you be willing to keep the name of the Sponsor anonymous? Some folks like to do good deeds without making it public knowledge. -
Whilst watching for those data signals to switch please don't neglect watching for those traffic signals to switch or for one of your fellow drivers to lane switch. Maybe Sprint should make a version of those "this is the text I was sending" ads. "This is the speed test I was running when I slammed into those kids crossing the street. Their parents didn't understand that their children are dead because I just had to check out my data connectivity. Now I just get 1x on the phone my cell-mate smuggled in."

Can toggling airplane mode actually improve your 3G data speeds?
Odell commented on WiWavelength's blog entry in The Wall
Where else are you getting information like this? A little over my head as the only hashes I deal with have corned beef or potatoes in them...sometimes both. But the main thrust of the post was well articulated and easily understood. Good work AJ! -
Couple questions from a troubleshooting perspective that you may have already answered with Sprint. Are you using the stock messaging app? If not, can you replicate the issue on both your app and the stock app? Are you having the same problem over both wifi and mobile data?
