  1. LTE Plus 2500 Mhz might be coming to oneonta NY. I found this request for a special permit. Can anyone help me make a little more sense out of it. http://www.oneonta.ny.us/files/5214/7861/9454/20161017_PBMins.pdf
  2. Doesn't look like Sprint but when I looked at the coverage map they would greatly benefit from being on that tower. There is still a vacant rack on the bottom. Maybe Sprint will move in soon.
  3. Great to hear that, especially since there isn't any B26 if I remember correctly. Did 1x800 Voice ever go live in Buffalo?
  4. I've never had any luck at Terminal 4 and Terminal 5
  5. Its the one on Canal St so this sounds very good. Also cool to learn about the ODAS in the French Quarter, curious if phones will latch on to a week B41 signal over the ODAS that only broadcast B25. Seems like Sprint is only using 8 out of the 14 LTE capable Towers available at that time from Crown Castle. Hopefully that has changed as of now. Its been 3.5 years since that video came out. would be cool if they added B26 and B41
  6. Can anyone provide me with some solid information about coverage, and data speeds in New Orleans. I'll be down for a couple of days after Christmas till after New years. Will mostly be in the French Quarter. Staying at the Marriott which charges for WiFi. So I'm hoping to hear more about that area.
  7. oh man I was hoping there were more small cells in Manhattan and they started in Queens. But thinking about it now I haven't seen SCP spit out Clearwire B41 in a while and since I got my V20
  8. Anyone know what this means on SCP. Its been showing up for me a ton in Queens and in Manhattan. I'm referring to the two *'s. Ran a speed test after seeing it this time and got over 40Mbps Also unrelated question: Any one know of the status of the DAS at JFK?
  9. Can any report on how the antenna is on the v20? I upgraded my LG G2 to a Nexus 6 few month before the G4 came out. Then when the G4 came out I got it. I've been using a G4 since it came out. I purchased my V20 on Monday and I'm hoping the performance is better than the N6 and G4. Both of them only connect to 1900 3G or 1x800 in area I could sit on B25 or B26.
  10. Has any one noticed any improvements in the LI market in the past 6-9 month? Haven't noticed a single upgrade. Of corse I haven't traveled to ever site but I do travel a decent amount in Nassau county and B41 hasn't changed at all and there are still a lot of 3G only sites and 3G holes.
  11. Any improvements in the West Palm Beach/ Wellington area? I found out the 3G only site that I was hoping to get LTE is no longer listed in the Sprint Data base. So unless they replaced it I'm expecting worse service this upcoming February when I go down for a visit.
  12. Yeah i know both are at least in the planning stage. JFK I mean inside. I believe they are working on upgrading the DAS which covers several terminals to LTE. From what I hear Penn is a little more complicated. Not sure why though but its in the works.
  13. Still no news about Penn Station, or JFK two area I know that need to be upgraded to 4G LTE. Would of love to even see them saying its coming.
  14. Now that makes me really wonder why only one of the sites they told me about has the second carrier coming by Q1 2017 and then why is it so far off from now.
  15. got some updates about several towers on the south shore LI. This is from an email I got from Sprint about my slow data speeds. I've removed some of the Address details because it had personal locations. Basicly Sprint has let me down again. NO B41 coming at all in the area. and only one tower will have B25 second carrier Q1 2017. This only requires software chances i thought. Why not push it out in the whole market like NYC. The 3G only site I believe is a GMO so either they will be replacing the site or doing GMO LTE in the LI market. Since I did receive this email from sprint I'm assuming it ok to post site IDs on the thread even though it's not the premier section. If this is not true I will redact the site IDs Oceanside, NY 11572 Serving site: NY07XC706, sector 1 Voice coverage: Best LTE coverage: Best • 4G 2.5 estimated for 12/17 Feedback: • No major performance issues • Site currently has 4G 1900/800 LTE deployed • Serving site is capacity stressed due to pointing into 3G only area • Slower speeds are due to capacity constraint on the site • No 4G 2.5 solution funded for this site Lawson Blvd Oceanside, NY 11572 Serving site: NY27XC333, sector 2 Voice coverage: Best LTE coverage: Best • 4G 2.5 estimated for 12/17 Feedback: • No major performance issues • Site currently has 4G 1900/800 LTE deployed • Serving site is capacity stressed due to pointing into 3G only area • Slower speeds are due to capacity constraint on the site • No 4G 2.5 solution funded for this site Rockville Center, NY 11570 Serving site: NY07XC714, sector 2 Voice coverage: Good LTE coverage: LTE Plus – Fair • 4G 2.5 – TBD Feedback: • NY54XC858, sector 2 also serves area • Both sites do not have any major performance issues • Both sites have 4G 1900/800 LTE deployed • Serving site is capacity stressed thus slower speeds • 2nd 4G 1900 LTE carrier funded on NY07XC714. Expected on-air 1Q 2017. • No 4G 2.5 solution funded Atlantic Ave Baldwin, NY 11510 Serving site: NY27XC695, sector 3 Voice coverage: Good LTE coverage: Fair • This site is not 4G enabled; any 4G coverage comes from neighbor sites Feedback: • No major performance issues • Site currently is 3G only with no 4G LTE • 4G 1900 LTE funded and expected on-air 1Q 2017 • No 4G 2.5 solution funded
  16. been spotting more B25 second carrier but it jumps right right to B26, hopefully they are just testing it and it should be functional soon.
  17. any one know if GMO sites able to do 10x10 or even a 2nd carrier or does it all depend on the equipment?
  18. hopefully they focus on those towers without B41 first.
  19. wow i guess Sprint is really focusing on cities. Kinda how t-moible was at one point. The good thing about focusing on cities now is it allows for them to be future proof the network. For the next 5-10 years the network will be expandable by having B41 CA and turning on more carriers as needed. Once all the cities are done they can focus on coverage connecting the cities and more rural areas. Also any chance you saved a high resolution copy of that picture before it was taken down?
  20. I wonder if they will get all 129 done by 10/15. While Manhattan has good B41 coverage they need these for congestion but all the other boroughs need them for actual coverage. Hopefully they start installing them there after 10/15. I recall Sprint having a 3rd party team for mini cells in NYC but also planned to do like 100-200 more in NYC on there own. I wonder why these weren't the first thing to be converted to LTE from Clear WiMaxx since they seem to go so quick.
  21. I'm connected to my local site with B25, the site also has B26. I use the note feature. Under more available signals a site with the name note pops up but with a weaker signal than the B25, could that be B41? or is it B25 from another sector so its weaker. normally a stronger signal shows up which is B26 when connected to B25, and a weaker B25 signal shows up when connected to B26. Don't know why that's not happening now.
