  1. eHRPD isn't the only issue now. I've lost some 800 towers around here. They've went back to 1900 only for the time being. And a strange issue that just started happening is LTE on one side of my apartment building (east side) doesn't work, even though I've got a -96 dbm reading on SignalCheck. If I got to my apartment, it works just fine (west side). I have to change to CDMA/EvDo to get my data to work again. Hopefully they straighten it out soon!
  2. My family back in the Wyandotte, MI (Downriver) area are getting really frustrated. I can't even talk to them for more than a few minutes without the calls dropping. It's happening to everyone in the area, and it's been going on for about 2 months. I keep telling them to hold on, the wait is worth it...but to be honest, that's a bit long for the issue to be going on. They did call in and were given $25 off the bills for the next two months. What I believe is happening is the handoff from legacy to NV equipment is really screwing up. Now that the two towers there in Wyandotte are complete (or near completion), it should get better. Only time will tell.
  3. We haven't had eHRPD here in Charlotte for about 2 months now. Wonder if there is an ongoing issue with it...
  4. I've noticed that here in Charlotte, we haven't seen eHRPD in a few months now. Wonder why this may be happening. As soon as I head to work, which is in the Myrtle Beach Market, I'm on eHRPD. It's kinda frustrating, since when you drop off of LTE, you have a gap in the data stream falling back to EvDo Rev. A.
  5. Me too! I'm originally from Wyandotte, or as we like to call it "Downriver"!
  6. I just gave in and bought a Mega. Got it on eBay for $419. Saving about $100 than if I bought it at a Sprint store!
  7. Ever since they turned on 1x800 here in Charlotte, I haven't been able to connect to the airave. I am considering sending it back, since it's no loger needed as signal strength is great now.
  8. Wow, not too often you hear of a High Risk of severe weather and significant tornadoes in November! http://www.spc.noaa.gov This is going to be interesting to watch...
  9. I don't think it has to do with Android, but rather that the device is tri-band. Refering to the recent article, we learned that you can only be on one type of network at a time. Thus, when on LTE, the only network that the device can see is the LTE. Therefore, the signal bars will show LTE signal strength. When the device switches to CDMA/1X, it shows that signal strength.
  10. I know for sure that they were running fiber to the site on top of the Holiday Inn Hotel in uptown. Saw Alcatel Lucent trucks parked outside.
  11. Just went into a Sprint Store and played with the Mega. Man, that thing is huge! I'm gonna wait a bit though until we start seeing some 800 LTE roll out before I jump on it. Probably will be my next device though. I know I'm definitely going to change those ugly looking data icons, ugh...haha.
  12. I have never had a problem on 1x800 with my Note 2. I have never updated the firmware on it since I got it. It still has the October 31, 2012 L900VPALJC. Could this be why I don't have a problem? Just curious, as I am currently using the 512 PRL.
  13. Well, today at work, LTE has disappeared from the accepted Darlington site! It was on for about 3 weeks, then nothing. Hopefully it'll come back online soon...
  14. I can tell you that within the last week, 1x800 has been turned on for quite a bit of the area. I went from Charlotte, NC to Columbia, SC late last week, and held 1x800 all the way down to about Winnsboro, SC!
  15. It happened! One of the completed towers in Darlington went live with the last update. I mapped out some of it at work today on Sensorly. Got 18.29 down and 6.22 up! I'm really excited!
  16. Umm, there is LTE uptown. I get it all the time there....
  17. Yes, I've traveled about 2,000 miles over the last week, and it happened a lot in select areas. I got pretty disgusted, but it's just temporary due to the incompatibility between NV and Legacy equipment.
  18. Well, since about the beginning of August, I am no longer able to handoff from native to roaming. The call drops like it did before. Strange...
  19. Oh man! Look at Sensorly in the SC market! Just about all of I-77 from Charlotte to Columbia is now LTE (wasn't just this past Saturday when I went to Georgia from Charlotte on I-77), and most of I-26 all the way to I-95, and even down I-95 towards Savannah as well. That is impressive!
  20. What a shame... Not going to get the Note 3 now, but if the Mega supports LTE 800, I will pick that up.
  21. Looked back a bit, but I didn't see this brought up. What does it mean when the BSL is in BOLD as opposed to normal font? Just curious, as there doesn't appear to be a rhyme or reason as to why it happens.
  22. I thought about this before. Would be a great idea. There should be like a signal that bumps it up to LTE from either 3G or 1x.
