  1. Here's the Sprint coverage map of the subject area: handoff by rrxingmtr, on Flickr
  2. Just reproduced the handoff again on my way home. I started the call on Sprint, and it handed off to US Cellular!
  3. I am 100% positive. I looked at the signal, and I was near the Sprint tower in Hartsville when I initiated the call.
  4. An interesting thing happened while I was leaving work today and heading home. I just recently moved to Charlotte, NC (Matthews, suburb). I started a call on the Sprint network in Hartsville, SC, and figured that it would drop once I drove out of Sprint native coverage and the call continued. I decided to look at the display, and it showed that I was roaming! I didn't know that it was possible. The roaming area I drove into is US Cellular. Any ideas? This is the first time that I didn't drop a call while going from Native coverage to Roaming.
  5. Yeah, I saw. However, rest assured the site is 3G/4G complete. Fiber is installed and all.
  6. Well, the Bojangles Southern 500 was last weekend and there was no LTE in Darlington. They did have a COW there however, and speeds were pretty good during the race. (0.80-1.5 Mbps up)
  7. 1900 MHz currently in most areas, few 800 SMR. Soon to be 1900, 800 SMR for both LTE and CDMA in most places.
  8. The accepted LTE site in Columbia (I-26/I-77) is ready hardware wise, but it hasn't been "switched" on for LTE at the Columbia MSC. Waiting for both this site, and the Darlington one to be "switched' on.
  9. I'm getting a message now that says "Sorry! Your browser doesn't support Sensorly map functions" Why might this be happening now?
  10. Hmm. Well I did have up to 3 bars at times right next to it, but I was sure it was from a different site given that it varied wildly while sitting in one place. However, they may have very well got it online again.
  11. Drove by the site yesterday. I stopped and got out to look at the cabinets and get a closer look at the tower. It is completely offline. (No 1900 CDMA, 1x, or LTE).
  12. Yes, there is just a building there at the base of the tower.
  13. Sensorly seems to be having issues. I am having a hell of a time accessing the site, and it's been that way for at least a day now.
  14. The Bojangles Southern 500 is going to be held at the Darlington Raceway in Darlington, SC a week from today. (May 10th-12th). The tower near the raceway and another around Darlington has the new panels and RUU's up, but not broadcasting LTE as of today (May 3rd). I wonder if they will get them completed, up and running by the time the race is starting. They do have a COW already placed outside the raceway ready to be fired up next week.
  15. This site will probably be the first LTE accepted site in the SC Market according to what the guy said with AcLu. Everything is there, they are just finishing up and waiting for AT&T to run about 15 feet of fiber. The 1900 MHz is offline right now as well. He said that it won't be long. This site is set to go 800/1900/LTE any day now. Sprint Tower - Lugoff, SC by rrxingmtr, on Flickr
  16. Which flea market? I've been to the I-77/I-20 site. Talked to the guys installing the panels. Waiting on new cabinets and fiber to be installed there.
  17. I've noticed that the tower at McKee Rd and Providence Rd is listed as 4G complete, but there is yet to be an LTE signal from it.
  18. The tower pictured above in Darlington...I made a second visit to the site last Friday, and gave a closer look at the base station cabinets and noticed that the wires from the new panels mounted on the tower are capped off. They ran all wires from the panels down the tower to the cabinets in the conduit, but didn't hook it up yet to the cabinet. Hopefully soon!
  19. Definitely GSIII. I have the Note II and it's amazing.
  20. Here are two sites I stopped by today, the first one being Darlington, SC. Within the last week or so, Sprint has installed the new panels and RRU's on the second rack! Sprint Tower in Darlington, SC by rrxingmtr, on Flickr This site is in Florence, SC. Still has the legacy panels, but seen below, looks like new RRU's: Sprint RRU's by rrxingmtr, on Flickr
