did you do anything with disabling any of the bands? if you disable the one that would be for B25 it will turn off LTE completely. i have all bands enabled on mine, and my priorities are set the same as you listed and i had no problems getting LTE from B25. when i was messing around with things i did try and disable B25 and it turned off LTE completely instead of just B25.

the hidden menu isn't where you set band priorities. you type in ##DATA# (##3282#) and then select LTE and EDIT. You will need your MSL number though to be able to get into the EDIT menu. You can get your MSL through sprint chat, sometimes it takes a couple of reps to give it to you. the hidden menu, that doesn't work for the Flex but did for the G2, is where you set the phone to LTE only mode to connect to LTE on a tower that doesn't have eCSFB enabled yet.

jury is still out for me on battery, it feels like things are still settling in. on my last charge "android system" had 26% of battery followed by screen at 21%. plus if you plug it in and don't get it close to fully charged it doesn't reset the "time on battery" count, so like last night i was down to 15% battery left and was at ~22 hours on battery, i plugged it in for a little bit since i was going to my daughters dance practice and didn't want it to die on me there, it got charged up to about 35%, then later in the evening i looked at it said i had been on battery for 28 hours, which was not true since i charged it some a few hours earlier. yes i did root mine, had it done withing an hour of having the phone used the ioroot method and it worked like a charm. only bad thing is there isn't a recovery for this model yet or any ROMs out there so i just have root for now. was still nice as it let me freeze/uninstall unwanted apps and use airplane mode from signal check

i'm not sure what you mean by this but i've confirmed on mine that the signal bars always reflect the strength of my data connection. So when on LTE it shows LTE signal strength and when on 1xRTT/1x800 and 3G it shows the 3G signal strength in the bars.

i don't think there is anything to fix. you can get to the hidden menu with the dialer code i posted, but the screen doesn't appear to exist on the flex to be able to change to LTE only mode.

well yours looks similar to mine so i guess thats good. past that i'm not sure why its so much higher? you only have 1 more line than me which should make it about $30 more than mine. best i can come up with is you are missing the discounts for lines 6-10 from the part i quoted. but even if it was the same discounts thats only about $126 off. i have no idea what the $6 framily charge was for as i didn't have that. but after looking at it some more it looks like you should have gotten credited a portion of your old ED plan (jan 14 -feb 7), then paid a "reduced" amount for current month services on framily for jan 14-feb 7, which didn't get the "Framily" discount, then you paid for the next month services, feb 8 - mar 7, which was correctly "Framily" discounted for having 10 lines.

ok, i little anecdotal signal comparison here. i grabbed my coworkers N5, which is on the .23 radio, and compared it to my flex in my cube at work here while connected to the same tower. i put the phones in several different spots to compare to and the N5 had anywhere from a 5-8dbm better signal strength than the flex. based on what i've read about the N5 compared to the G2 it sounds like the flex has about the same signal performance as the G2.

i looked at the otterbox but it looked like it would make the phone too big! i ended up ordering this one http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00HUFYUSQ/ref=oh_details_o01_s00_i01?ie=UTF8&psc=1 it hasn't come in yet so i'm not sure how good it will be, but the pics looked good so i figured i would give it a try. also i just noticed it is listed as prime eligible and $9 for the case now, when i ordered it on saturday it was $1.95 for the case and a couple bucks for shipping

ugh that sucks! i don't suppose rooting a device would allow a work around? i sent a diagnostics log, went to every screen in order on the shortcuts menu then sent the log.

yes, i agree with that, it is different. in most cases it looks great, but there are a few where you can tell its different. if you load the Netflix app when it first starts up with its all red screen that's where you can see it the most. its like its speckled with black dots and isn't 100% red. i don't think it has anything to do with the screen only being 720p and more to do with the fact that its the plastic flexible screen. i've noticed it on the camera too, when you take a picture and look at it on the phone screen it has that graininess too it, but if you copy the pic to a PC and look at it there it looks great.

yeah, i was more meaning if you didn't need mobile data, if you only use it at home while on wifi then you don't need to pay sprint for any data use, but if you take it out and about and need data on it then yeah you will want to pay for a higher amount.

i will try and do some comparisons to my coworkers N5 tomorrow at work. our building is killer on signal so it will be a good comparison. All i have had to compare to so far was my previous phone, EVO 4G LTE, and my wifes iphone5. the flex is way better than the EVO and from what i have seen so far at least on par with the iphone. when i was in the store looking at it before i got it i was comparing to my EVO and it was about 6-7dbm better when they were side by side, this was with a tower literally right behind the store though so it wasn't a weak signal by any means.

i have the tablet and the flex, and for the tablet only being 1" bigger on the screen it is way bigger overall than the flex! the jump from my evo 4g LTE to the flex wasn't near as big as the flex to the galaxy tab 3 7" tablet. if you don't need any sprint network data on the tablet you can change to the $5/mo 25meg plan online when signing into your account

as far as i'm concerned HD voice is on, at least in my area. anytime i call someone with a newer android phone you can tell the call is different and much clearer. anytime i call a land-line or an iphone it sounds like it did pre NV upgrades, aka "normal"

mike, just a heads up, i got the LG G Flex yesterday and signal check shows all the relevant info so far but most of the short cuts don't work. specifically the ones to the debug and data screens. just gives the message that those screens may not be supported on this device and doesn't do anything. if you need any files or need me to test anything let me know! thanks!

ok so here is my mini update - 1) screen - for the most part the screen looks amazing, was watching a 2Mbps stream of Avatar to it and it looked awesome. however there have been times where the screen did look "grainy". not sure if its certain apps that are low res, or certain colors or what. but i only noticed it a few times and wasn't really that distracting. 2) battery - when i left work yesterday (where it had sort of been charging) it was at 80%. i played with it most of the evening with restoring my apps and stuff. i had the screen set to "auto" brightness with the slider at 90%, but i don't think the auto was always working, so i'm pretty sure the screen was at 90% most of the night. when i finally plugged it in at 11:30PM it was at 10% battery left. it had been on battery a little over 9 hours and it was estimating about 1.5 hours left. screen time was 25% on that. 3) performance - performance so far has been great. i had a few issues with trying to migrate my apps/data with mybackup pro and the apps not working after the migration and locking up, but once i cleared data on them and reinstalled them from the app store everything worked great. i did root it with ioroot, which was ridiculously easy! i haven't done a custom recovery or ROM yet as i just wanted root for airplane mode in signalcheck and to use mybackup. will probably look at ROMs later this week.

When i was in the store i could just barely see a difference between the screen on the flex and the G2 when holding them side by side. now that i'm back at work and playing on it the screen looks gorgeous! i made sure to verify that i was able to get the band prirority screen so i could change band priorities, the only screen that didn't work was the one the G2 uses to change to LTE only mode. i was able to use the dialer code, by changing the last 3 to 995 (for this model number) and it did load a hidden menu, but i couldn't find anywhere on it to set LTE only mode. i asked the sales guy if he could get me my MSL while i was there and he did Here are some signalcheck and engineering screens from it. set to CDMA mode to see voice and 3G connection connected to LTE band enable/disable band priority lte engineering shortcuts to all these screens don't work in signalcheck not sure if they do in the G2 or not? will have to message mike so he can look at it. will be working on moving all my stuff from my old phone over now if anyone wants to know anything else feel free to ask!

i have a couple of coworkers that are friends that might do this, with changing their billing address' to match, but they have a question. Were either of your accounts already changed over to a framily plan? or did you have care create a new framily and move both accounts to it at the same time? or was yours already and framily and his wasn't and you just had them move/convert his to your framily? also did you end up changing the billing address for your brother back afterwards?
