  1. looks like WDM sent last night, so hopefully that means downtown will go tonight or tomorrow night. and just to be clear i mean "go" as in get switched over to NV equipment. we still don't know when LTE will get turned on. 3G may be better after the switch over depending on if fiber was run to the site and if it was hooked up or not.
  2. what settings did you use to get it set this way? we have no B41 in my area but B26 might be firing up soon. my coworker has this phone and want to get it set to hunt out B26 connections once they are live.
  3. i have this off and on with 1x800 here too. some calls will be perfect, some calls will be crap. deployment is still under way here and most people i talk to on the other end are on sprint too. so it could be where they are thats causing the issues and not with my end. i have no idea what causes it though, i just know sometimes its great and sometimes its not, and even other times the call will dial and connect on 800 and then within a few seconds of the call punt me over to 1900. then when the call finishes my phone goes back to 800 (running the 800 priority PRL)
  4. they must have done something last night to turn on eCSFB as all the people i know with triband phones get LTE without having to do anything and calls/texts work as expected.
  5. It was accepted last night. That would be funny if they were still installing it when it was already accepted =-O
  6. if you become a sponsor you will have access to the spreadsheet we are doing that has all the confirmed LTE IDs in it. you would be able to look up that cell ID of 293 and see what tower its coming from, its not an ankeny tower and thats why you can't pick it up in your house.
  7. your voice, 3G, and 4G signals can all be coming from different towers. so the tower that is showing for your voice connection in signalcheck has nothing to do with your LTE connection. that is why we are tracking all of those things in the spreadsheet in the sponsor section. BID = voice connection so you can know what tower voice is coming from. and the LTE ID and LTE HEX in the spreadsheet is what tower your LTE is coming from. so you can reference that if you get connected to LTE to find out where its coming from. If its not listed in the spreadsheet then that means its probably a new LTE tower that no one has confirmed yet.
  8. if its a NV BID it will be an exact location, if its a legacy BID it will be an offset location.
  9. 7 4G towers accepted in central iowa this morning! sponsors can check the link in my sig to find out where they are!
  10. got this one added to the spreadsheet! this one the address isn't giving me the exact location, there are 2 towers on park ave. if you get this one again click on the map link and take a screenshot of the map when it loads up the towers location. also can you turn on the "site hint" option for signalcheck? that will help us get the other BIDs with one screenshot. also you might want to post these in the sponsor thread since we are talking about tower locations now
  11. thats right, i forgot about that. it will let you get to that screen but its blocked from allowing you to change anything.
  12. yep that is! thats one we have confirmed which tower its coming from, you can find that info in the spreadsheet in the sponsor thread, link in my sig also eCSFB is not enabled on these towers yet, so since you have a tri-band phone if you want LTE you will have to put your phone in LTE only mode, but while its in that mode you won't get any calls or texts. once the tower is officially accepted they will have eCSFB enabled on it and then you wouldn't have to do anything special anymore to get connected to LTE from it.
  13. head over to the sponsor thread (link in sig) and check out the spreadsheet, that one is one we have confirmed in there and then you can see what tower its coming from!
  14. Speeds will improve as more and more towers come online with LTE. When only a few are online they are handling more connections then they would be if all the nearby towers were online too. And remember the max the airlink can handle is 37mbps. And that is shared between everyone actively using data on that sector. Also 6-8meg down is what sprint is shooting for as averages. Once band 41 gets installed then you can strut around your epenis with speeds of 74mbps down (which was seen in California)
  15. Last I knew west des Moines, downtown, and south des Moines still need accepted on the new equipment before they can get 4G, which will happen any day now. I did track down 1 LTE tower today so far. Info posted in the sponsor thread in my Sig.
  16. You can either attach it to your post or use a photo sharing site like photobucket
  17. i was in huxley all day today and the tower that covers it i could not get 3G from at all, was stuck at 1x all day. i drove by it on my way home but no one was there yet working
  18. yep, i'm guessing so too. omaha was getting acceptances last week, it stopped over the weekend (traveling to des moines). des moines wasn't ready so send them back to omaha (couple days to travel back and start work), then the acceptances for omaha started again. and my guess is delayed until next week. they only have these 5 towers left that need anything installed, so as soon as they get them done they will be able to start accepting. if/when i hear anything concrete from my source i will pass it along though and just a reminder, i'm talking about the towers getting accepted and the NV equipment fired up. we have no idea if 4G will be turned on at the same time, and/or if new backhaul will be hooked up for 3G if available.
  19. i haven't heard anything new from my source yet, but just from going out and about the past few days its looking like things are going to be delayed. as of yesterday/today there were still 5 towers with crews on site finishing up the installs. since they are going to be accepting the remaining 49 sites over the span of a week i'm guessing that they are waiting to finish up these 5 sites before they start accepting anything
  20. Hopefully it was something else since that tower got switched over about 3 weeks ago :-)
