  1. this is true and false. it depends on if you are connected to legacy, or NV and if NV what OEM your market has. legacy in my area broadcast offset coordinates but now that the towers are running NV, which is Samsung in my area, all the towers are broadcasting their exact locations (on the voice side only, just to be clear).
  2. Better buckle down and get used to it. We are in site by site mode where towers will get LTE as backhaul becomes available. There is no schedule and no time frame of when they will be done. They are at the mercy of the backhaul vendor now.
  3. from my experience, no. my brother in law and sister in law have a 2.5 airave at their house and if you are connected to it there is no HD voice, if you connect to an actual tower and no one is on an airave then there is HD voice. funny thing about HD voice, they initially thought something was wrong with their phones because when they would make calls to each other while on HD voice it was so clear that it almost sounded echo-y so they thought there was an issue with one of their phones
  4. well that's unfortunate, i asked the sales person if i could 1) put more down for a lower monthly payment and 2) pay extra at anytime to pay it off quicker and was told yes to both of those
  5. 16 gig 5s was listed as 0 down and $27.xx per month. Basically $649.99/24. You can put money down up front to reduce the monthly payment if you want.
  6. as others have said it depends on what the building is made of, and how far away from the tower you were. signal can be strong bouncing around off buildings outside but not strong enough to penetrate a building unless there was direct LOS. there is a schedule of LTE 800 sites and when they should be live by in the premier sponsors section. all i can say is that its coming. no one knows about B41 for central iowa yet except that we should get it and sprint is starting that rollout the 2nd half of this year and they are planning on a 3 year rollout. where we fall in the time frame no one knows yet.

    LG G Pro 2

when they say "introduced next month" that doesn't mean released next month, right?
  8. my call dropping issues are back to almost non existent. only every once in awhile do i drop one. and its usually only when i'm talking to my wife on her way home. she works in the WDM area and has an iphone 5. obviously not scientific, but there could either be issues with the WDM towers, or iphone5's. really no way to know without a larger sample size.
  9. i had not had any issues, but i don't make a ton of calls either.
  10. if you have an android phone that supports voice on 800 (1x800) your phone will connect to it once it loses a signal on 1900 (1xRTT) once it gets on 1x800 it will stay on there until it loses a 1x800 signal and then it will switch back to 1xRTT if that's available. So yes, service is active, and no you don't have to do anything special, other than own a phone that supports it, to access it.

    LG G Flex LS995

ugh, i wish they would give info on release dates! i want a big screen tri-band phone and am waiting for the G Flex as it *might* be a better option than the One Max. but if this is coming out soon maybe i should wait for it?!?!!? i guess if nothing else being on framily and having unlimited data i could upgrade again in a year
  13. honestly i have no idea on this. it could be a phone issue. but it could also be since the deployment isn't done the weak LTE signals your phone is seeing is confusing it and causing the issues.
  14. thanks, and i completely agree with this as a finalized, deployment plan. but when you are trying to hunt down b26 for tracking purposes being able to set it higher priority is a must
  15. no, there is no way for your phone, or an app, to tell you where the LTE signal is coming from. however there is a way you could find out. if you become a sponsor you can see where all the LTE accepted sites are and try and track it down from there. also if the market you are in is tracking the updates on their own they will record PCI and GCI numbers from the LTE sites, with that info then you can tell where your signal is coming from based on the info your phone is giving you.
  16. ugh! that is unfortunate! so we can't even tell what priority the bands are set to? i wonder if rooting and a custom ROM would be able to add access to it.....
  17. does the One Max allow you to view/edit the band priorities?
  18. as far as i know and can tell, no they don't. i technically have 9 cell phones, 2 airaves, and 1 tablet on my account. This is over the "10 lines max per account" rule they have and i had to have special permission to get all of those. However when i click the "check my framily status" in my account it shows 1 spot open in my framily.
  19. sorry, forgot to specify that, i edited my post, but 2 lines have unlimited, the rest are just the included 1 gig. i also have the $5 tablet plan on my new bill.
  20. just got my first bill now that i'm on framily. my lines do still show as $55 each when looking at them in my account, but the bill does show a $30 credit on each line to bring it down to the $25 per line. i have 9 lines and my total bill previously was $501, my bill for this month is now $342 2 things to note though, this does include a little over a week of prorated charges/discounts since we switched plans mid month, so it should go down a little more next month, and so far no one has gotten a new phone on easy pay, so this is strictly charges for service only, including taxes/fees. EDIT: knew i was forgetting something, 2 lines have unlimited data, the rest are just the 1gig included in the $25 and i do have the $5 tablet plan now.
  21. No it is not an immediate benefit to us here in des moines. I haven't read on the update to know if it improves b25 performance, but that would be the only benefit from it here. In the short term we should start seeing b26 go live, so you will need it for that. B41 however is probably a year out from going live around here.
