  1. I played with it a bit too, and I think the faux leather is a good step forward. I thought it felt pretty good in the hand. The size is perfect and I'm so tempted to pick one up. My Gnex's power button stopped working, so I can no longer swap batteries as it requires a computer to turn on now. -.-

  6. This probably explains why I haven't seen 800mhz on my usual towers these past 2 weeks. Thanks Digiblur for the quick analysis!
  7. I have doubts that it will even make it to America, seeing as it will be produced in limited quantities.
  8. Single band LTE. The Galaxy Note 3 has already shipped to some stores, and is going to be sold on Friday. It is impractical to suggest the devices they are about to sell haven't passed through the FCC. The article below goes over the FCC filing for Sprint's GN3. http://s4gru.com/index.php?/blog/1/entry-353-for-sprints-samsung-galaxy-note-3-one-is-the-loneliest-number/

  11. Freedompop has a triband hotspot: http://s4gru.com/index.php?/topic/4395-freedompop-now-in-tri-band-lte/
  12. So you use an HTC One eh? Here I thought you were using some confidential top secret device called "N/A"
  13. I think dual band may have even been contemplated, but Sprint probably stuck to their guns and said we are only going to go from single to triband phones to keep things simple. Then Apple came along and trolled as usual. Then probably around 3 weeks after the galaxy note 3 was into development, Sprint was ready for triband, and the development of the GS4 mini, G mega, LG G2, etc started.
  14. On another note, if anyone wants to get around the $350 Sprint is charging, just use your upgrade on an black/gold iphone 5s. You shouldn't have any trouble getting enough money out of that to buy the Note 3 at full retail.
  15. I do the same thing with google hangouts, beats Sprint's voice quality by a mile lol
  16. From what I understand, as long as you are currently making payments on a phone, you will receive the $15/month discount.
  17. Their goal is for you to keep getting new devices though, so that you are effectively locked in a never ending contract. If they kept giving you the $15 off then you might not buy a new device, which would make it easier for you to jump ship.
  18. Another funny thing, Best Buy shows the model number for At&t and Verizon matching the FCC filings, but for Sprint's Note 3 they list the model number as "MOBILE PHONE." I feel like we are being trolled. http://www.bestbuy.com/site/searchpage.jsp?_dyncharset=ISO-8859-1&_dynSessConf=4398464043940251077&id=pcat17071&type=page&st=galaxy+note+3&sc=Global&cp=1&nrp=15&sp=&qp=&list=n&iht=y&fs=saas&usc=All+Categories&ks=960&saas=saas
  19. Lol! Sprint mentions all the international bands on the Note 3, but they conveniently left out which LTE bands it supports. http://newsroom.sprint.com/news-releases/fact-sheet-samsung-galaxy-note-3-galaxy-gear.htm
  20. I'm pretty sure its all newly announced phones in 2014 will be triband. They will still be selling single band Note 3s two years from now most likely.
