This includes the free 500MB data option, as well as the more expensive plans (e.g. 2GB for $20). The device itself is $150. I got an email this afternoon about the FreedomPop Freedom Spot Photon Platinum hotspot on sale for $19.99 with Free Shipping. I'm curious if anyone knows/has heard what LTE bands this device is running on? If it's anything like the MiFi 500, I'll sell my MiFi, pay my ETF with Sprint, and just casually use the FreedomPop instead. Thanks!

Anyone herd of these guys? They offer free data and on their about page it says: FreedomPop's high speed wireless internet service runs on Clearwire's 4G WiMax network. The service will expand to include Sprint's 4G LTE network in 2013.

FreedomPop announced today that they now have an agreement with Sprint to use their 3G and LTE network. They will initially launch using Clearwire's WiMax network. By the end of the year FreedomPop will start deploying sleeves with Sprint's 3G and LTE support. In 2013 FreedomPop will stop using Clearwire's network for Sprint's but may go back to Clearwire for extra capacity.
