    LG G3

Trying out G3 for a few days, So far its been pretty good. A couple of quick notes, looks like no built in Qi Wireless charging, and also Bluetooth still seems janky like the G2. Im connecting to my VW GLI Bluetooth and volume is excessively low. Another downside is I do notice some hiccups here and there in the UI, coming from my Nexus 5, its noticeable. On a brighter note, signal strength seems slightly better than my N5 using the latest radio, B25 performance is comparable, B26 is slightly stronger (2-3dBm stronger), and B41 is better(4-6dBm stronger) Update: After rebooting the phone, BT audio seems to be fine. Quality is very good as well.

  3. I guess two answers are better than one....lol! Just Teasin Dave!
  4. Nice buy! glad to see its running well, and yes, B41 is always set to the highest priority for obvious reasons. Our market has had huge improvements in terms of B41 optimization (B26 still needs work) I'm assuming you have not used a triband device with SCP before. Triband devices are single path, and only display either LTE or 1xrtt/800.
  5. Looks like B26 is exploding all over NC!!! My bud down there is getting great speeds indoor and out...
  6. I bet the engineering screen would say otherwise, sometimes SC pro misreports...
  7. Looks like you didnt connect to B41 http://s4gru.com/index.php?/topic/1901-network-visionlte-new-york-city-market/?p=330550
  8. Its possible 800 is coming from a further site. Its still not enabled on every site.
  9. B26 in flushing medical center. Went from B25 to 26 and gained about 5dBm in signal strength.
  10. We should ask Robert how often he gets hits coming from sprint.com domain, I bet its more often than any of us would have thought.
  11. They are, but they have to refarm in order to do so...Might happen soon.
  12. Not all markets have this luxury, but here in NYC with PCS spacing, coverage really isn't the issue, but capacity is. Maybe after 8t8r are turned on, this wouldn't matter as much.
  13. I think the power needs to be turned down a bit on B25 in certain areas to reduce coverage and increase speeds, and let the other bands balance the load. B25 is utterly useless with anything worse than -100dBm during normal business hours in NYC.
  14. I pick up B26 when B25 hits about -118dBm, jumps on B26 at -110dBm, then @ -112 or -113dBm it drops to 3G. My understanding is that B26 is still in a low power state, and that would explain the similar B25 and B26 signal strengths. So far it really limits B26 indoors since I almost always end up either on 3G or an extremely weak B25 signal.
  15. I don't expect camping but what I do expect is more than a 2dBm threshold between 3g and B26..
  16. B26 inside building on 34th st on Madison ave. Usually I get about 500k/sec here on B25. Averaging about 8mb on B26. Also, its about 8dBm stronger than B25. Looks like it still needs optimizing, jumps from B25 to B26 a ton.
  17. I don't expect another proper nexus device till years end. So I think it might make the cut. The new chipset with CA support is already shipping to phone manufactures. http://www.qualcomm.com/snapdragon/processors/810
  18. I've never had any issues with LG hardware, I absolutely love my Nexus 5. But software has always been lacking. This latest version seems to fix most of those issues. Personally I'm going to wait for a phone that supports Carrier Aggregation before making a move to another device (hopefully Nexus 6)
  19. A few things, different markets, get different versions of the phone. Sprint tends to almost always fall into the higher end category, and this device is no exception. This device has more ram (3GB) and bigger space (32GB) than the reference models going around. Also, it will be one of the first devices with Wifi calling out the box. Color accuracy might not be 100% but, what it lacks in accuracy it MORE than makes up with in pixel density and resolution (a monster 538PPI!!!!!) About the kinks with battery life, im pretty sure sprints version will have those things sorted before launched. Another thing, since LG toned down and flattened there skin, its become a hell of a lot better. One thing is for sure, choices are good....
  20. Dont know, LG G3 lookin mighty sweet and its coming in about a week...
  21. Band 25 works ok, its a bit overburdened in that area, but there is Band 41 there as well.
  22. Very odd, I got 12hrs battery life today (ive had it since yesterday) dont think its just related to that....
  23. For those still waiting on OK google from any screen http://www.androidpolice.com/2014/07/03/still-dont-have-ok-google-everywhere-try-this-simple-trick/
  24. Sucks, I guess it will come when it comes...
  25. Ive read that uninstalling the update for Google Search, then re installing it does the trick.
