  1. You dont connect to all bands at the same time, "Spark" is just a marketing term for a device that can potentially access all three bands at any given time (separately not at the same time) But, As Deval mentioned before, Sprint will add Carrier Aggregation later this year which will basically add another 20Mhz of spectrum on top of the already deployed 20Mhz. But unfortunately no device support this configuration just yet.
  2. I meant it for him, Is he guessing he is on B41 or did he somehow confirm it.
  3. Spark is Band 41 (or rather just access to all bands depending on who you ask) the widest spectrum band available on sprint.
  4. I guess you missed the party, quite a few of them are enjoying B41.Go back a few pages and you will see for yourself.
  5. Looks like I hit some 8t8r during testing on central park west near 62nd st, it has a GCI starting with "13" instead of "12" for B25 or 02/03 for clear. My speeds were in the mid 20s with low signal - 105dBm
  6. Spoken like a true S4GRU head! Congrats bro.
  7. Apps running in the background can severely hinder switching back to LTE, for example; even a faster scan time will not help a phone streaming audio on 3G to switch back to LTE any faster.

  9. In the city sprint is faster 90% of the time..
  10. Don't forget its TDD so its one single 20Mhz channel with 6:3 ratio. Unlike FDD that uses spectrum less efficiently, using twice as much spectrum with little benefit (uses twice the spectrum and only a slight increase of download and upload speed)
  11. I constantly keep on the look out especially this tower. Last time I checked this location was probably about 2 weeks ago. So the upgrade is fairly recent.
  12. That was my exact sentiment considering I already have access to B41 through a clear site that is only about 100ft from this site. But at least now we know NYC is getting the 8t8r treatment now!
  13. They have other equipment on the other side facing north (this is facing south east), much tougher to catch on camera...
  14. In midtown its pretty sh*ty i(between .20k to 1mb during peak times) residential it does better, but rarely above 5 or 10mb sec. But of course AWS helps mitigate that.
  15. BTW, Voip hangout calls over B41 are particularly great!!

    LG G3

I think its a bug on the LG app switcher, one cool thing I stumble upon using the app switcher, you can pinch to zoom in and out of different views on the app switcher, maybe a different view point of the app switcher will help with this bug.
  17. I agree its tougher to find specific antennas at any given site, but at the same time, site spacing is quite dense in NYC. So if one site is not within view, move on to the next.
  18. Better yet, post a screen shot of Signal check when your connected to the site...
  19. Try to get a pic of the site, then we can confirm what type of antennas are there...
  20. No 8t8r equipment has gone live anywhere in the US as of yet, its still FIT testing in Chicago as of now. Luckily Clear has been excellent here in NYC! Also, at the rate that Sprint has been installing 8t8r, I have a feeling they will launch a massive amount of markets simultaneously before the end of the year. Unfortunately, no one has confirmed seeing any 8t8r antennas in NYC thus far.

  22. I get LTE outside of Ridge Hill Home Depot, inside, not so much...
  23. This was by Main st and Weyman ave. I was picking up stuff I needed from Home Depot. It would be even better if B26 were ready by Regal New Roc Movie complex, its my go to spot for movies, best screens around, parking and decent crowd.
