  1. On my N5 is resets all my custom scan priority settings, I dont know if thats the case with the M8.
  2. I know this is going to sound totally ridiculous, but have you tried a PRL update, that does adjust with Scan priority.
  3. I must say, its very clear that B41 is boss! Coverage is actually pretty good (except indoors) and the speeds are unreal! Blow Tmobile's away for the most part (Having added sooo many customers sooo quickly did nothing for there speeds in midtown during peak times, as my brother is no longer hitting 20-30's, its more like 5-10mb). If 8t8r is only half as good as they say, we are in for something pretty unbelievable!
  4. Hit some band 26 and 41 in flushing, queens. I must say, the nexus with new radio is picking up band 41 almost EVERYWHERE outdoors! Its more than I initially thought now that number is closer to 70% of time im connected to B41. Gotta love the Ad on the bottom. Oh the irony! Flushing Queens
  5. Has nothing to do with backhaul, When a site gets Accepted for LTE its ready with fiber, The one thing your market lacks is Band 26 which most markets are coming online now with. Once that's in place you will see a nice bump in coverage and speed. Also, the first signs of B41 towers were caught in the wild in NC. So there's plenty to look forward to in your market, just some minor set backs because of red tape with public safety still using the 800 frequency.
  6. Don't forget software, and also screen sensitivity. Its worlds more precise than the G2...
  7. Is there anyway of adjusting scan priority on the M8?
  8. Seeing a ton of B41 almost everywhere I go since I've upgraded to 4.4.3, All over Manhattan, Bronx, Yonkers. I would go as far as saying its about 40/60 split Band 25 and 41. I was seeing a lot of B26 a week ago, but seems they are turning it off and on for testing. CHECK IT OUT GUYS! https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B9tPD5DtGverODFHS2tqRGZTeGRjR05SdkljR1o2S0FLRTBF/edit?usp=sharing
  9. So it never sees B41 either? I think the general consensus is that -110dBm on B25 is not very useful for most of us (and infact might lead to some missed calls!) whereas -110dBm B41 is totally usable in most cases.
  10. I find .13 more stable than .15, especially since .15 does not latch onto B41 unless B25 is unavailable, which is the opposite of what sprint intends and hand offs between bands are more seamless. Its clear that .13 is meant for mature markets that do not have any eCSFB issues, which accounts for very few to no markets at the current moment. That's why its had such a negative reception thus far. Overall, I believe its a much more sensible balance in performance for the long run.
  11. Have been testing "LTE Only" mode with .13, and I must say it is pretty mindblowing! All issues with falling back and camping on 3G seem to be almost entirely a eCFSB or the lack thereof issue, without fallback to have to worry about, I will hold LTE 99% of the time! Meaning coverage is there, and the device is more than capable of holding an awesome signal. Again, I cant stress this enough, moving from band to band skipping eCSFB is ultra seamless, can run a speedtest while moving at 55MPH and switching between bands without ever losing connectivity. The only indication of band switching is engineering screens/Signal Check and speeds will jump from 10-15 to 20-30mb during the same test! Hopefully people complaining more and more about these connectivity issues will help push them harder to resolve them quickly! Alu seem to have there shit together when it comes to full build sites having the necessary software in place. But Clear sites are a different story all together! Here in NYC they are the most likely culprit of a lot of these issues. The amount of B41 I pick up in LTE Only mode is quite impressive about 40/60 split between bands 41 and 25.
  12. There is no definitive answer to this question because the equipment and locations vary wildly. lets just say 2500 is mostly for outdoors not good indoors, 1900 is the most common connection, good outdoors and average indoors, and 800 is for deeper indoor coverage.
  13. I'm not 100% sure how to verify 1x800 on an iPhone, I know its in the field test page somewhere. Also, since its still early in the B26 deployment they will most likely make adjustments and tweaks as time goes on. It could also be that your B26 is coming from a distant site and not the same site as your B25.
  14. Band 25 and 26 have nothing to do with call quality. 1x800 is what your looking for to stabilize calls. Maybe your home site is not yet broadcasting BC10 (1x800) or your sitting in a place where signal just cannot reach. Have you been able to make calls from where you are before?
  15. Calls have nothing to do with B26 or B25, it could be that they are working on the site as we speak. Also, it is normal for it to switch between bands as necessary, for capacity and coverage reasons..
  16. So you went from no LTE to some LTE, sounds like its doing its job.
  17. Correct! Anywhere from a few weeks to a couple of months. lilg would know best since he logs this market with awesome detail!
  18. Did a test while driving with LTE only mode, and I must say, fallback is definitely causing an issue. The band switching was super seamless without any interruption between bands, even seen it go from B41 to B25 and vice versa while running a speedtest without dropping the connection! Didn't even see any dead zones at all! (except going into the Lincoln tunnel as expected) All these issues with the device falling back to 3G definitely looks like a choice they made to keep the device from losing its ability to make calls and still have a data connection with minimal interruption. Seems this radio switches to 3G with even the faintest hint that eCSFB isnt enabled, which I've found quite a few Clear sites lacking the ability. Im very curious to know other's experience in LTE Only mode.
  19. Try disabling B26 temporarily, that would usually solve the issue if its related to new B26 sites without eCSFB coming online.
  20. If the only way your connecting to LTE on B26 is by forcing it, means the tower does not have proper eCSFB in place yet. Other users just disable B26 all together and that seems to solve the problem.
  21. Nexus with just a radio flash (.13) here in NYC.. B41 B26
  22. In that case I'd stick with .15 until things start picking up.
  23. The only saving grace is that B26 is spreading like wildfire, problem is, if I'm not mistaken, didn't your market just get its first LTE acceptance recently?
  24. If your coming from .23, I don't think you would be unhappy. I think most are upset coming from .15, Once B26 is more prevalent in your market those concerns are going to disappear.
