  1. Burst mode can be done separately from zoe mode. Just hold down the capture button and thats it, just like on the current evo/one x.
  2. Based on the latest information available it would appear that tower upgrades are ongoing. Consider becoming an S4GRU sponsor to have full access to all the information your heart can desire.
  3. Even though the evo has its lte issues your experience is far from ideal for you to cast any judgement on how it will perform once an area is reasonably covered. In any event though, it does look like the htc one will perform better based on what we can tell so far.
  4. You can't be serious!!!! Atlanta was an lte launch market for at&t and verizon and I can assure that both companies did not have the entire altanta market built out at launch so I am not really sure where you are coming from.
  5. Well the gs4 will probably crush the One's sales anyway but HTC could at least stop their own bleeding and get back on their feet somewhat if this phone was available for the masses already.
  6. Actually, I thought the 4th was friday thats why I picked it, thanks for the correction. So yeah, May 3rd, you heard it hear first.
  7. I am still going with may 4th on sprint, thats my guess and I am sticking to it. Edit: the first friday of may is the 3rd not the 4th.
  8. LOL, yep. With the design of the gs4 in comparison to the gs3 I figure they would do something similar with the note 3, keeping the same relative size of the note 2 and have as slim as possible bezel. That with the rumoured use of an lcd screen will all but seal the deal for me.
  9. I wouldn't be surprised if HTC comes out with a "phablet" later on this year, but they better come out swinging because more than likely I will be all over that note 3 when it comes out.
  10. This^ If apple can basically do this every single year no reason why htc can't do it. There shouldn't any reason why this phone should be announced in February then released a month or two later. Right now, even though the gs4 has the One beat when it comes to features it seems like the general consensus is that most would still prefer the one of the gs4. HTC is basically giving away sales with their lack of urgency, but hey what do I know, I am just some dude posting this on a forum. I am sure they are paying someone big money to make these kinds of decisions. As far as a release date on sprint I wouldn't be surprised if its released in may, thats my guess anyway. Edit: I am just gonna go ahead and throw out a date of may 4th, you heard it here first. LOL!!! Disclosure: This is just a guess, I have no bases other than this phone isn't coming out any time soon on sprint IMO.
  11. Yes, copy the data over but try reformatting it from the phone itself. Also, what size memory card, what speed class is the card and what brand?
  12. Maybe your card is on its way to being corrupted. I recommend you make a back up of whatever is on your card then re-format the card.
  13. Whats up bro, maybe I may have missed something but I thought you switched to verizon?
  14. LOL, its ok. The subject was part of another thread so you easily could have missed it.
  15. The gs4 will probably still sell like hotcakes but it seems like the general consensus is that most tech sites still prefer the One over the gs4 even though the gs4 is packed with so many additional features, weird. For what its worth though, I prefer the gs4's design a hell of a lot more than the gs3's "pebble look".
  16. I could care less about benchmarks and number of cores and anyone that continuously brags about that sort of stuff is probably compensating for something else. I think we are at a point now that all flagship devices are basically on the same playing field regardless of whatever differences in specs. What I do care about is screen quality since that is what your eyes will be focused on every single time you use your phone. Personally I don't like amoleds(even though the screen on the note 2 is nice) but my main issue is with pentile screens, you may not notice any flaws with it but when you compare it to an slcd screen that has a standard rgb layout then the differences are night and day.
  17. They could have gone with a non pentile amoled setup like on the note 2, that would have made me feel a lot better but pentile is almost an automatic non purchase for me. I may end up just passing on this and getting a note 3 later in the year to replace my gnex, in the mean time I may end up getting the One to replace my evo lte(depending on rf perfomance of course)
  18. Yep, more pentile. I am here just shaking my head, I can't believe samsung and this pentile nonsense.
  19. You have got to be kidding me, the gs4 still has a pentile screen.
  20. For the first time ever I am having a hard time trying to decide which phone to get. Since I have two lines I was going to get both but I think I will just get one for now and get the note 3 later on in the year.
  21. Just so you know, the amount of signal bars you have does not represent how strong your lte connection is, the bars you see represents 1x. With that being said, the most obvious explanation would be that you are on the very outer edge of the range of an lte tower and the connection is just too weak to stay connected.
  22. There is truth to what you are saying don't get me wrong but still the numbers are still entirely too small. Less tech savy people are attracted by eye candy and marketing, why do you think people wait in line for days to get an iphone? Why do you think samsung has sold so many gs3's? It's definitely not because less tech savy people are going to trendsetting enthusiasts asking what is the best phone to buy. Prime example, I consider myself to be tech savy and other than my dad(who is still rocking a gs2 on att), everyone else in my immediate family has an iphone. I have shown them time and time again, feature after feature of what android is capable of and regardless of how impressed they were, they will not use anything else other than an iphone. Again I do agree with you but the numbers are not what you think they are and thats a fact. These companies are going for the mainstream consumer and that's not us. Ask a 1,000 random android users what is a bootloader or s-off and most would have no clue what you were talking about. Hell, you can even ask those same random 1,000 people if their phone has gingerbread, ICS or jellybean. The mainstream consumer don't care, they just want it to work when they turn it on and thats it.
  23. I do agree that it should be unlocked or easily unlocked but lets be real, looking at the big picture, HTC's lack of sales doesn't have a single thing to do with not catering to enthusiasts, it has to do with their poor track record when it comes to marketing their device effectively. Us enthusiasts represent far less than 1% of their total customer base so they are not going to invest valuable resources to cater to a few of us, sorry.
  24. Saw that yesterday, based on the back of that same device it looks like these cases may just fit. This was leaked today as well: http://briefmobile.c...aked-once-again EDIT: Unless Samsung is just trolling everyone and this is the "enhanced" version of the gs3 and the gs4 will be something totally different.
