  1. Yeah I noticed that as well but hopefully they work something out for sprint since htc and sprint seem to have a pretty good relationship LOL, I know right!!! But I am willing to give them the benefit of the doubt and it not be any fine print talking about some sort of nonsense.
  2. When in doubt, hard reset!!! Also, check to see what servers you are connected too. I am currently in St. Thomas and for some reason my gnex wants to say that my closest server is in Kansas, but my evo gives me a more accurate server selection from St.Thomas and Puerto Rico.
  3. http://blog.htc.com/2013/03/htc-one-developer-edition/ This is interesting, I wasn't expecting them to go this route at all. Not a bad deal for anyone thinking about getting one off contract anyway.
  4. Was the first sentence of your post even necessary? Look, just chill already and keep things on topic.
  5. Engadget"s review: http://www.engadget....htc-one-review/ Looks like they really liked it.
  6. I absolutely agree, the galaxy s4 seems like it will be packed with all sorts of features but at the end of the day most of it wouldn't do anything for productivity.
  7. Work is still definitely being done, I saw some guys on one of the towers this afternoon after work. I couldn't really make out what they were doing though(they were on a roof top) and even though data has been somewhat inconsistent, voice quality and signal has improved exponentially. I kid you not, the last 2 years I have spent traveling to st. thomas I have been met with 10 to 15 dropped calls per day and thats a conservative estimate, no BS. Over the last week or so I may have dropped a call once every other day.
  8. One of my friends were born with albinism and one of the eye conditions she has to deal with is nystagmus. That feature will definitely be useless for someone like you for sure but it is a feature that you have the option to turn off.
  9. Oh boy, I read this over at phandroid yesterday and if this turns out to actually be true then HTC is gonna be in a world of hurt. They have a lot of momentum right now and its important for them to be able to meet their demands or else consumers will end up just going elsewhere rather than wait. I really hope this is not true for HTC's sake.
  10. Well the evo 3d will offer about 35% more pixels in the same 4.3" screen but the overall screen brightness and clarity will probably be better on the one sv. I think an important factor is usability in the sunlight which would be a huge advantage to the one sv, the evo 3d was probably the worst phone ever to use in direct sunlight.
  11. Well personally I have two phones that I walk with everyday so more than likely I will get the One to replace my Evo and get the gs4 to replace my gnex.
  12. Too many factors to determine why your lte speeds are slow, also how do you know which tower you are connected to? You can be connected one tower for voice and another tower further away for lte so that could be the issue. Also keep in mind that the signal strength bars only represent voice and not lte so you could very well be on the edge of lte coverage from a tower further away.
  13. Spec wise they will probably be the same. It is rumoured that samsung may use the exynos processor overseas and the snapdragon for north america. If thats the case then both the one and the gs4 will have the same s600 snapdragon with 2gb of ram.
  14. Ok, lets get this thread back on topic.........................................................again.
  15. If you can take your time searching google for random information you can search S4GRU. Its not that hard, you will find your answers in some of the threads that are pinned.
  16. You have well over 200 posts on S4GRU and you don't know what that map represents?
  17. I don't know who else spends a lot of time on youtube killing time like I do at times but if you do I am sure you have come across these ridiculous "harlem shake" videos. Anyway HTC actually made one using a HTC One, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d8W64kWkeHM
  18. Well apple's business model is a little different but I wouldn't say it was an apple thing first.
  19. I don't expect HTC to break the bank but I do expect things to turn around once the the One is released. A global launch is the right strategy and even though they probably won't move as many units as the gs4 they should do better than they did last year with the One X. What's key though is that they continue to publicly support their devices through updates but more importantly marketing. It seems like HTC is turning into LG when it comes to how they do business. Minimal marketing and when that doesn't work they just release another device to take its place then provide minimal marketing again. Its like an endless cycle.
  20. You think the Virgin Islands will be apart of that 100% by next month?
  21. Can you please just relax and stay on topic? Thank you
  22. As you can see from all the road work being done all over the island, the islands overall internet infrastructure is getting overhauled. I am sure this is what will tie in to sprints lte plans to get us the speeds that lte is capable of. As far as the 3g speeds, I think this will somewhat continue to be an issue. The thing is, the number of towers we have on the island is more than sufficient to deal with the island's population but when you add the countless tourists that come off of the cruiseships and their crew members you could easily be looking at an additional 20,000 to 30,000 people on any given day during this time of year not to mention the thousands that fly here on vacation on a weekly basis. Also keep in mind that all of these cruises originate from a US port but they travel to all foreign ports throughout the caribbean and mexico which means lots and lots of international roaming, so many of them make most of their calls when they get to st. thomas because its not international anymore. This kind of sudden onslaught of traffic is kinda like a special event in the states where they have to bring in mobile cell trucks to deal with the exta traffic, unfortunately there won't be that option in the VI any time soon if ever.
