  1. If you don't like Kevin's article, I would stay away from DSLReports as well.
  2. Two decades of Chiefs football? I didn't know you were a masochistic, too!
  3. For those who don't know, Ericsson's contract with Sprint should expire sometime in 2016.
  4. Wow, AJ is an NFL season ticket holder. I Didn't realize he had that kind of cheddar to throw around.
  5. Geez, Mike, trying to rub the fact that you have two toys to play with in my face?
  6. IIRC the LTE versions of Qualcomm modems include W-CDMA and CDMA so they likely just disable CDMA.
  7. Opera Next or old school v12?
  8. I use everything. I watch YouTube videos on IE, Opera Next for most day to day things, FIreFox for other daily things and Chrome for, well, nothing anymore.
  9. No, they CAN'T serve Omaha because they can't get phone numbers, remember?
  10. Outstanding post. This is the exact kind of thing that should be discussed instead of the personal crap about how X wireless provider sucks in their area.
  11. No, this deal was because of the Samung deal. I think even the Nexus program is likely dead and I'm not alone in that thinking. http://anandtech.com/show/7726/some-thoughts-on-lenovos-acquisition-of-motorola-mobility-from-google
  12. No one is going to point out the error in the article? Hint: look in the HD voice section.
  13. I came to read about TDD spotting and an e-penis measuring contest broke out.
  14. I personally would prefer 4:1 but I can see how others would want the higher upload.
  15. If you don't go to tech sites that don't hate on Sprint, your list of sites is going to be very small. Also, I found this and thought that it was interesting that they say there's usually a 4:1 downlink/uplink ratio when it's been reported that Clearwire is using 3:2. http://www.rcrwireless.com/article/20140127/opinion/reader-forum-tdd-vs-fdd-and-the-battle-over-handset-battery-life/
  16. When band 41 gets too weak to use, I believe it scans for networks it can use again and will (likely) attach to another LTE band. Also, for Ericsson markets band 41 deployment will be done by NSN.
  17. Wait, are you talking about Clear or Sprint now? Regardless, handoffs between band 41 and any other FDD band will be hard due to the nature of the beast, but it shouldn't be a big deal.
  18. "Once upon a time when cell phones looked this..."
  19. For Clear since all their band 41 stuff usually includes WiMAX too, I think it has to be Samsung.
