  1. Welp. I am getting the 6P I think. $50 credit is great
  2. My biggest ram usage is opening large PDFs and documents and also when I have a lot of active chrome tabs. I have definitely seen slowdowns on my N5 related to maxing out ram.
  3. He was poking fun at your typo of OIS -> IOS
  4. The 6 Plus and now 6s Plus do have OIS but point taken.
  5. Android Police also claiming no OIS on either 5x or 6P cameras
  6. $380 eh? Well I think I just decided that unless I win the Moto X Pure raffle here I will sit this one out and wait for a bunch of comparison reviews. My Nexus 5 is going strong except for the normal degraded battery and a randomly sticky power button. I can wait a few weeks no problem.
  7. Yeah and at that price I would seriously consider the moto x pure.
  8. Damn you Google. You are making me choose between 1) cheap, small, shitty storage options and 2 GB ram with an 808 and 2) Expensive, huge, great storage options and an 810. All I wanted was an easy choice you absolute bastards.
  9. as the Nexus 6 successor it 99.999% will work on Sprint due to how Google Fi is setup right now.
  10. Update PRL? edit: we do have an m8 users thread here http://s4gru.com/index.php?/topic/5784-htc-one-m8-user-thread/ I know the m8 has been a troublesome device. Have you downloaded all the updates for the phone?
  11. I don't think this is a big issue. I really think Sprint SHOULD sit this out if the cost of the last licenses sold is any indication. However, I would really like to see Sprint pick up some cheaper rural licenses or stuff on highways etc so they can improve native coverage and also save money in roaming.
  12. Plus what does everyone do at events when they notice a data slowdown? Speedtest to see if they have a slow connection!
  13. Since I can't find the chart someone posted on the forums: How does this phone stack up against the Moto X Pure in terms of RF?
  14. Well, I have seen some slowdowns and high ram usage with apps on my Nexus 5. The other point is that sure it is okay NOW but in 2 years will it be? Hopefully the larger capacity might be offered with 3 GB or something. It'd be an easy upsell for me.
  15. Right so does that mean when you return the 6s you pay the lease off or are they saying "oh just trade it in and you're good" then giving you the $1/mo offer. If it is the former then you're better off with the already discounted $15/mo (before legacy credit) and if it is the latter then who wouldn't take that deal? Everyone I spoke to today was clear that you had to own the phone outright rather than be on an existing lease. I guess we still need clarification to work it's way through the system.
  16. As a final update: Phone, chat reps, employees have both confirmed to me today: Current iPhone Forever users are not eligible for the $1 iPhone plan. (can't blame us for asking though!)
  17. Seemed that way to me too. I pass by Sprint/AT&T/Verizon stores on the way to work and from the drive past they seemed empty and the Verizon store I had lunch by was barren. Maybe Apple's direct selling strategy is having a big impact?
  18. The cab is still a bad choice of example but this is more like cabbie offering to drive you to a Seaworld for free when you originally wanted to go to Six Flags on the condition you buy the ticket to Seaworld before he drives you. Your choice might change based on the incentive offered because the alternative is now more expensive. Again, your HBO comparison is also flawed as that is a service offered by the cable company to encourage you to purchase more services. That would be akin to T-Mobile offering free tethering/hotspot puck for 90 days or something.
  19. If you're cynical about it like I am you would just assume they exempted Speedtest apps so users can't tell how slow their connection is when they are being throttled.
  20. I think that is a bad analogy because it doesn't include the requirement to use services to get that free ride. The reason this is an issue is because T-Mobile effectively drives users on the network to certain providers of services such as the already mentioned music services. It also plays favorites with the Ookla Speedtest.net App being exempted but others such as Sensorly Speedtest are not. Thus it is no longer neutral in providing bandwidth as it disincentivizes apps that are not exempted and further it raises unfair barriers to entry for new apps that may have otherwise been on even footing aside from established apps having a larger userbase. Sorry but I simply don't buy the 'no harm because it is free!' Line of thought on net neutrality because it is an incomplete line of thinking that assumes no potential harm is being done.
  21. Similar to a situation I had: Where I work we have every other Friday off and despite our very clear instructions AND SIGNAGE for receiving packages..... one day Fedex dropped off a rental one of these http://www.keysight.com/en/pd-1721037-pn-N9030A/pxa-signal-analyzer-3-hz-to-50-ghz?cc=US&lc=eng Just marked it as "signed for by: Random Name" and left it there. We found it Monday and told the rental company who flipped their shit about it.
