  2. Sprint is nowhere near running out of cash for their Network Vision program, and their financials are the best they have been since the Nextel merger and getting better every quarter. They have been able to easily borrow money on the market in recent times. And since NV saves them considerable operational dollars, it makes them money to keep deploying it. That being said, Sprint will begin NV in the Northern Wisconsin market some time in 2013. Final scheduling for 2013 markets has yet to be completed. Robert via CM9 Kindle Fire using Forum Runner
  3. There are actually over 30 sites in the LA market with 4G LTE inspected and accepted by Sprint (both yellow and purple sites). However, they all must be blocked. This is common in unlaunched markets. Robert
  4. The sites in the area were good spacing and other factors for Alcatel/Lucent to put their 4G LTE FIT in this area. Robert
  5. Still no accepted sites in Florida after this week's update. Robert
  6. If you become a S4GRU Sponsor you can see the weekly updated sites complete maps. It shows the sites Sprint has signed off as complete from the week before on Interactive Google Maps. 7. Deployment has not begun in the Northern Connecticut market yet (where Hartford is located). So this is suspect. Robert
  8. This is great news. The next time you get LTE signals in these areas, if you could run the Sensorly app and plot these areas, we would really appreciate it. It's how we track new coverages in Shentel areas. Thanks! Robert
  9. Also note that AT&T has 10MHz LTE channels only in 1/3 of the country. In another third, they have 5MHz channels. In the last third, they have zero 700MHz spectrum and will need to deploy LTE in another band (which won't be any time soon and will likely be 3MHz channels, if anything). So in their 10MHz markets, they can reach 50Mbps speeds...but it won't be for long. In their 5MHz markets, they will likely be slower than Sprint, because they have less site density. And in 0MHz markets, it's safe to say Sprint will kick their butts. Robert
  10. Definitely a move in the right direction. eHRPD is needed for LTE to handoff to 3G seamlessly. However, its arrival is not necessarily imminence that LTE is very soon. Robert
  11. After you do an update, it did a channel scan and connected to eHRPD. Timing was just coincidence. When we went to eHRPD in our market on Friday, my wife's EVO did not go automatically. I just cycled through airplane mode, and it went to eHRPD. However, if I had updated a PRL, it would have gone to eHRPD too. Or rebooted. Or turned off mobile data and turned back on, Or updated profile. Or updated firmware. Anything that would cause your device to turn off your data connection and rescan would have resulted in discovering eHRPD. Just a coincidence. Robert
  12. 37.5Mbps is about as fast as Sprint LTE can get. You have to be facing the tower in order to get speeds that fast. I have had a couple of speeds greater than 37.5Mbps, around 38-40Mbps. However, any speeds over 37.5Mbps are suspect as a possible misreading from the speed test software. Robert
