  1. I don't know why, but I like to say Allapatah. I need to get back to Miami. Haven't been since Thanksgiving 2008. Robert via Nexus 7 using Forum Runner
  2. I bought one yesterday for $150 from a member. I've been wanting one for my LTE device collection. I must collect them all. Robert via Nexus 7 using Forum Runner
  3. Back in the Mid 90's, my uncle was on Nebraska in a less than savory part of Tampa. He was stopped at a stoplight and someone rear ended him. He got out to check the damage and a man shoved a gun in his face and robbed him. After that, I started just going to Pinellas when in the area. Just stuck with the freeways. 4. This means you are roaming on 1x voice but connected to eHRPD for 3G data. You should check your 1x and EVDO channel/band class assignment in the Debug menu the next time it happens. That is where you can confirm your connections. Robert via Nexus 7 using Forum Runner
  5. Not likely throttling. This has happened a few times in other markets where they had a short term anomaly of really slow download and normal upload. Unless your device is having a malfunction in its reception. Do you know anyone else with a Sprint LTE device in your area? Robert
  6. Yeah, my GNex with the latest updates shows voice. All my Android LTE devices are running stock, and all of them show voice only. I like how the iPhone shows the signal of the most superior technology connected. That's the way it should be in my opinion. Show the signal strength of the icon showed. Once LTE is fully deployed, it will be less important. However, this is less important to me than it used to be now that there are apps that will tell me my LTE signal strength in the top bar. 7. You can be connected to a different voice, 3G and LTE site all at the same time. There are no apps out there at all that will show you LTE site connection locations, unfortunately. The best you can tell is triangulating LTE signal strength. http://s4gru.com/index.php?/topic/2040-bars-lie-for-lte-signal-strength-how-to-determine-your-actual-lte-signal-strength/ Robert via Samsung Note II using Forum Runner
  8. LTE availability in your area by January seems plausible. However, Sprint LTE is only unlimited on smartphones. It is not unlimited tethering. Whether you do it authorized or unauthorized. Unauthorized tethering is not only not allowed but it is unethical. Sprint does not have enough spectrum to allow people to use its LTE network for personal unlimited home ISP. I feel for you in the fact that you have no ISP solutions in your area, but Sprint LTE is not a home ISP solution either. Sprint will be enforcing unauthorized tethering on their new LTE network (and DO Advanced too) with customers they feel are abusing the system in violation of the TOS. And frankly, most of us want that. If I were you, I would add a mobile hotspot plan to your iPhone when LTE comes and stay within your plan GB allotments. And then I would do as much as I could on my smartphone, which is allowed to use an unlimited amount. That's probably the best you can do under your circumstances... at least ethically and legally. And it is a violation of S4GRU posting guidelines for any of us to advocate or explain how you bypass Sprint's network protections to prevent unauthorized tethering. http://s4gru.com/index.php?/topic/1197-s4gru-posting-guidelines-aka-the-rulez/ Robert via Samsung Note II using Forum Runner

  10. This. The new Chrome is by far the best mobile browser. Finally a browser designed for mobile devices from the get-go. Robert via Samsung Note II using Forum Runner
  11. No need for bickering over minor points. Those two sites have been live over a week. However, launch is nothing but a milestone and a press release. Service will not look much different the day before launch as it will the day after. One thing that is starting to occur in the DC market is a lot more sites are about to be discoverable soon. 12. Panama City westward to the Louisiana state line is the Gulf Coast market. Including Pensacola, Mobile and Biloxi/Gulfport. Robert via Samsung Note II using Forum Runner
  13. I believe that the signal that caused the blip along the river in Englewood comes from across the river in New York. N Jersey will probably start in the next few weeks though. Robert via Samsung Note II using Forum Runner
  14. Since Fayetteville was named by Sprint in its 120 city list, I wonder if work has already started down there too, but no one is running Sensorly down there? Hmmm. Robert via Samsung Note II using Forum Runner
