  1. This made me start a coughing fit. If it makes you feel better, I passed on my cooties to the Tmo people. I went to their store with a raging cold. Robert via Samsung Note II via Tapatalk
  2. They all will, it's just a matter of when But they will not send away crews that are here doing NV conversions if backhaul at a site is not ready. They will convert the site anyway and connect backhaul and turn on LTE later when they become available. They may be crossing a threshold that most of the sites that have backhaul upgrades are now converted. I'm not certain though. Robert via Samsung Note II via Tapatalk
  3. That is just so bizarre. I just want to know the cause. It blows my mind. I feel like the guy who's head explodes in the Samsung commercial because the new iPhone headphone jack is on the bottom. KA-POW! Robert via Samsung Note II via Tapatalk
  4. I responded to your post in the Premier Sponsor section. Thanks. Robert via Samsung Note II via Tapatalk

  6. If it shows up on the completed sites map, it means the work is done at the site and Sprint has inspected and accepted it. In most instances the improvements are live at that time, but occasionally they are not. In most instances when they are not live right away, it is usually only an issue for a few weeks at the most. 7. I ordered the phone from Google. Should be here Thursday. I'm sorry I wasn't more clear. I was only speaking about activating the SIM card. One thing I was kind of blown away by the Tmo store was how it focused on a brand experience. I felt like I was in a trendy place and Tmo was the coolest club in town. You felt immersed in the brand everywhere, from the lighting to the displays. It was like I walked into a Tmo smartphone. It seemed like Carly was going to pop out of the back at any moment and everyone was going to cheer her and a round of drinks were on the house. Music would start pumping and the disco ball would drop from the ceiling. Nothing like going to a Sprint store at all. Sprint stores are boring vanilla and very corporate feeling. I assumed all wireless carriers were that way. The Tmo store set up doesn't really appeal to me, but I can see why it would to so many. It definitely is more "cool." 8. In most buildings they install them above the ceiling tiles in corridors. Robert via Samsung Note II via Tapatalk
  9. All over the place. They are currently working in the Hwy 167 corridor South of Auburn, an urban location in Tacoma, in Kitsap south of Bremerton, at Ft. Lewis and near Lake Sammamish in King County. And the ones the week before were all over the place too. Robert via Samsung Note II via Tapatalk
  10. What is BS is all the negativity that has appeared in this thread. Some of these posts border on being violative of our posting guidelines. Please take a moment to re-read them. Thanks. http://s4gru.com/index.php?/topic/1197-s4gru-posting-guidelines-aka-the-rulez/ Robert via Samsung Note II via Tapatalk
  11. It is coming. It must either be a permitting or backhaul issue unique to Denton since there is zero done in the area. But the sites in the area are indeed slated for Network Vision/LTE upgrades. And it has nothing to do with the University. TCU, SMU and Baylor have coverage. Robert via Samsung Note II via Tapatalk
  12. There was a site off Toledo Blade in Port Charlotte that was being worked on right before the Nest Pull off. And another one in Port Charlotte at I-75 and CR 769. I would be checking these ones for panels if in the area. Robert via Samsung Note II via Tapatalk
  13. Yes, I remember that now. It probably was buried deep in my subconscious and that's why I have the opinion that I do. Robert via Nexus 7 on Tapatalk
  14. Work is under way now. Signals will probably start appearing in a few weeks. All over the place in isolated locations. Growing a little more every week. February is likely their target launch month. However, Sprint doesn't want these types of dates to be public. That way they have flexibility if things slip. And lots of slips have happened. So they probably issued memos asking employees to stop blabbing. Robert via Nexus 7 on Tapatalk
  15. Sugar Rush Robert via Samsung Note II via Tapatalk
  16. I don't know if there would have been a SoftBank deal at all. Robert via Samsung Note II via Tapatalk
  17. I picked up one at a Tmo store earlier today. Thanks for the offer. They tried to get me to activate at the store. I explained I was doing the web only $30 per month plan with 5GB of data. They said there was no prepaid plan like that. I had to show them online. They were blown away. They were mad that they are not allowed to sell it. They said with a deal like that they cannot compete in store. Robert via Samsung Note II via Tapatalk
  18. What device? Robert via Samsung Note II via Tapatalk
  19. Highly unusual. But you could be between sectors, or the sector facing you may not be operating. There are lits of variables that could be at play. Keep us posted. Thanks. Robert via Samsung Note II via Tapatalk
  20. Work has indeed started a few weeks ago. We have a new source in the Puget Sound area. Some good news coming soon. Robert via Samsung Note II via Tapatalk
  21. Thanks for sharing. The next time you get a signal, please run the Sensorly app so it will plot coverage in the Nashville area. Thanks in advance. Robert via Samsung Note II via Tapatalk
  22. Work is still ongoing in Chicago. I wouldn't call a production rate of 30+ sites per week stopping. That's still 120+ per month. It's still going. Robert via Samsung Note II via Tapatalk
  23. Sorry, got my wires crossed. Thought I was in the NYC thread. I don't use Tapatalk very often. It doesn't show the title thread at the top of the page when reading the thread like Forum Runner. It is easy to get confused where you are at. To respond to your point, Sprint would only need approximately 20 well placed sites in Dade County, 20 for Broward and 15 for Palm Beach to have a launchable amount if service. That is more than possible before the end of December. Robert via Samsung Note II via Tapatalk
  24. Tmo doesn't upgrade their EDGE sites in my area that are in remote places without access to fiber backhaul. Like mountain tops and remote locations. They don't use microwave anywhere I've ever seen, but they should to get these remote spots. Verizon added MW here to reach those odd locations off the grid. Robert via Samsung Note II via Tapatalk
  25. . Yeah, stucco with its chicken wire lath is no friend to RF. But a huge variability staying in one spot in your home is odd. Robert via Samsung Note II via Tapatalk
