  1. One can hope! I sure wouldn't mind him being happy with his EVO again. Although I am not optimistic since LTE connectivity was not listed in the things that would be fixed by the update. Robert
  2. If it is on Sensorly, it is confirmed. Probably 90% of all Sprint LTE Sensorly tracks come from S4GRU members. Robert
  3. Most of the work is during daylight hours. I imagine they are exposed to a lot of RF. However, there are OSHA limitations to how much exposure is allowed. Robert
  4. We will not entertain comments about "What about my market?" Yes, you may feel your market is more superior and worthy. But such comments are off topic from the posted article. Off topic comments will be deleted. Please go to the Forums and find an appropriate place to discuss other markets. Thank you. Robert
  5. I thought you may say something like this. That's why I used weak language like "may." I always appreciate your feedback on these subjects. Robert
  6. You don't need to stop posting unless I ask you to. Our Tampa Bay area members are just frustrated because they spent their time to go to the area and couldn't replicate your results. And also they cannot see it on Sensorly. So I understand why it seems odd. I'm sure you're legit in reporting your findings. But until they either get LTE themselves in the area or see it appear on Sensorly, they probably will remain uneasy. Thanks for your reports. Robert via Samsung Note II via Tapatalk
  7. There is not a lot of coverage growth occurring now via additional sites. They are adding a total of approximately 300 new sites in Network Vision and adding an additional approximately 100 Nextel iDEN only sites being converted to Sprint Network Vision CDMA/LTE. This is a total nationwide. To average per market, that would be about 4 sites on average. So a little extra is coming. Perhaps after the close of SoftBank investment in Mid 2013 they will identify more additional sites. However, I think they are more interested to see how well 800 fills in a lot of these areas. 9. Yeah, you probably have a very weak LTE signal. The "bars" do not show LTE signal strength, even when the 4G icon is on. It is only showing 1x voice signal strength. You can read about how to tell your LTE signal strength here: http://s4gru.com/index.php?/topic/2040-bars-lie-for-lte-signal-strength-how-to-determine-your-actual-lte-signal-strength/ Robert via Samsung Note II via Tapatalk
  10. I'm originally from North Florida. We used town names. But the way growth happened in SW Florida, away from towns and in clusters all over and near freeways, I understand the logic. Robert via Samsung Note II via Tapatalk
  11. I haven't had any JB issues on my GS3. I really don't notice any difference. Robert via Samsung Note II via Tapatalk
  12. No need to visit a site to deploy eHRPD. It just changes the routing inside the network. All handled by software controls. Robert via Samsung Note II via Tapatalk
  13. First off, LTE will be installed on every 3G site. Second, LTE signal is more fragile than 3G...this is true of all carriers. I have Verizon for work. My VZW CDMA 850 goes farther and penetrates better than VZW LTE 750. It's just a fact. No carrier can guarantee indoor coverage because building types, distances from sites and terrain is so highly variable. Especially with LTE. Third, you can use unlimited data as much as you want, so long as you are doing it from your phone and not via unauthorized tethering. If you want to watch Netflix from your phone, or even bad porn, you go for it. But if you are hooking your TV up to it via unauthorized tethering, that would be a violation of your TOS and be unethical. But if you want to use Sprint as a personal home ISP, and you completely consume the data from your smartphone, I have no qualms with that. Fourth, I'm sorry if Sprint LTE doesn't meet your needs of having LTE in all parts of your home. If that is necessary for you, you may need another carrier. Sprint doesn't advocate that people who cannot afford a home ISP should just use Sprint instead. It's an assumption many people make for themselves, that they can just live with mobile data only. And making an assumption on indoor coverage before being deployed in your area is risky. Best of luck to you. Robert via Samsung Note II via Tapatalk
  14. I'm happy for your excitement. Sensorly still has not shown your coverages. Do you have your Sensorly settings to upload over WiFi only? Robert via Samsung Note II via Tapatalk
  15. Only in SW Florida would someone describe the area they live with an Exit number. Robert via Samsung Note II via Tapatalk
  16. That's the first time I've ever heard Ardmore referred to as a metropolis. Robert via Samsung Note II via Tapatalk
  17. It may be possible to be connected to a different 1x site with your second 1x antenna, however, the difference in signal is more likely the antenna location. The weaker one is more likely underneath your hand. On my Note 2, one is usually stronger than the other in my hand until I set my phone down. Then they get much closer in strength. 18. Wow. This is a really old map you quoted. From April 2012. Robert via Samsung Note II via Tapatalk
  19. Its off Airport Road between Cerrillos and the Relief Road in front of Tierra Contenta. Robert via Nexus 7 using Forum Runner
  20. Someone else had the same issue about 15 posts back in this thread and we discussed it. Same answer applies in your instance. Robert via Nexus 7 on Tapatalk
  21. Like it has been said before around here...Sensorly, or it didn't happen. Robert via Nexus 7 on Tapatalk
  22. OK. So noted. What would you like me to do? Robert via Nexus 7 on Tapatalk
