  1. And with a 30% minority, they will not be listened to if SoftBank feels the market will not support it. It will only be a matter of time until SoftBank buys out the entire company and takes it private. And they will just accelerate that timeline if investors get mouthy. They cannot shoot themselves in the foot competitively just because investors want returns in the short term. SoftBank will make decisions on a long term investment approach, other minority investors interested in short term gains be damned. Robert via Nexus 7 with Tapatalk HD
  2. God has granted you the ability to know where the site is located. It is shown on the NV Sites Complete map in the Sponsor section. Robert via Nexus 7 with Tapatalk HD
  3. I have no idea what to tell you. But if you run a business, you cannot let it be held hostage to a wireless carrier. You've got to do something. If Sprint cannot meet your needs, you either need to get an additional carrier or replace your carrier. S4GRU is a business too, albeit not to make money. Whereas you probably like to make money with yours. It requires me to be connected wherever I go. Sprint did not provide me usable coverage in all the places I go. We had to buy a Verizon hotspot to supplement our data so I can stay connected to S4GRU in more places. It's not optional. I have to stay connected with our members and the needs of the community. And Sprint could not provide the wireless connectivity in my instance. It's not personal, it's a business decision. If Sprint cannot provide acceptable wireless service for you to communicate with your customers, then you should consider an alternate provider...whether supplemental, temporary or replacement. Maybe call Sprint retentions and explain to them that you'll have no choice but to leave if they cannot alleviate your problem. Beyond this, I'm at a loss. Robert via Nexus 7 with Tapatalk HD
  4. You sure are one jovial fellow. You lol or rofl in nearly every post. Robert via Nexus 7 with Tapatalk HD
  5. Yes, but 70% of those shares will belong to SoftBank. That's a game changer. Robert via Nexus 7 with Tapatalk HD
  6. It's usefulness seems to vary by device. It seemed to work in the LGOG, but caused battery life to plummet outside of an LTE area. On my Samsungs and EVO, it did not seem to help catch an LTE signal any faster, nor had any effect on battery life as it should. Robert via Nexus 7 with Tapatalk HD
  7. All I know is they are waiting on backhaul. I do not know more details than that. Sorry. If I hear something, I'll pass it on. Robert via Nexus 7 with Tapatalk HD
  8. Sprint only has service from their network in West Virginia in Mt. Gay, Parkersburg and Wheeling. The rest of the state is provided by nTelos for Sprint. nTelos has a decent network and decent coverage in WV. They are just not doing a full Network Vision style upgrade. But they are coordinating with Sprint to deploy LTE some time in the future. Robert via Nexus 7 with Tapatalk HD
  9. Thanks for giving me a reason to type, "stuffa you face!" Robert via Nexus 7 with Tapatalk HD
  10. You're in an AlcaLu market. AL brings up the 3G upgrades first. It's the way they handle most markets. Likely only 3G upgrades accepted the first 2-4 months. And then the LTE side of the accepted sites will start going online. Robert via Nexus 7 with Tapatalk HD
  11. The site is not accepted as complete there yet. Thanks for the report from the field. Robert via Nexus 7 with Tapatalk HD
  12. If you like unlimited and want to keep it as long as possible, then don't abuse it. And also tell others not to. If you want to consume more than your fair share of unlimited data now, and you don't care if unlimited goes away in the future...then go ahead and eat as much data as you can! Stuffa you face! Take another byte! Robert via Nexus 7 with Tapatalk HD
  13. I personally don't care about LTE inside my house. Just outside my front door, the places I go, and everywhere in between. Robert via Nexus 7 with Tapatalk HD
  14. Not while I'm still alive and kicking. No way. Robert via Samsung Note II via Tapatalk
  15. I agree. Verizon and AT&T both have LTE launched in Albuquerque. At launch, both had significant coverage gaps around ABQ. AT&T still does. Nothing even remote close to being on every site. I don't expect full coverage from Tmo either at launch. Heck, Tmo doesn't even have full coverage of HSPA+ in Santa Fe, and it launched over a year ago. Robert via Nexus 7 with Tapatalk HD
  16. I believe the speculative price hike conversation happened before the SoftBank announcement. In my mind, SoftBank will not be eager to raise prices when they enter the market. Robert via Nexus 7 with Tapatalk HD

  19. We receive reports from sources within Sprint when sites are inspected and accepted as complete. So it's according to Sprint. In our Sponsors section we have maps that show every accepted site in the country. To date, no sites have been accepted in the Milwaukee market. Only two have been accepted in the North Wisconsin market. There have been quite a few accepted in the Wisconsin portion of the Minnesota market. Robert via Nexus 7 with Tapatalk HD

  22. I don't even know what to say to that? Robert via Nexus 7 with Tapatalk HD
  23. I stayed at a Holiday Inn Express a few nights ago. Does that count? What is the half-life of your Holiday Inn Express superpowers, anyway? Is it just 24 hours? I've always wondered. Robert via Nexus 7 with Tapatalk HD

  25. You aren't going crazy. I misread an acceptance report, and thought I saw the first Toledo market LTE acceptance. I discovered my error in seconds and deleted the post. But anyone who subscribed to that thread received a email notice. Sorry about that. Robert via Nexus 7 with Tapatalk HD
