  1. One VZW account is a work account. The other is a personal hotspot plan. I have no problem with my 4GB bucket, all things considered. I just always live in paranoia wondering how much data I've used. Everyone I know with a Verizon unlimited plan holds on to it like Gollum. My precious! Robert
  2. I'm not being defensive at all. You were threatening to leave, right? I did not defend Sprint. In fact I did the opposite. I won't make excuses for Sprint. They either meet your needs or they don't. But I do like to give people info, and they can use that to help make up their mind. As for WiMax, Sprint never released any public info that it was upgrading its full Philadelphia market to WiMax. There were all kinds of rogue commissioned sales people guessing/lying that WiMax was going everywhere. But they were not correct. However, Sprint has publicly announced they are upgrading the Philadelphia market to LTE. Even the distant suburbs and exurbs. This time they are handling the deployment, and the work is all contracted out. And we monitor that progress here. Robert via Samsung Note II via Tapatalk
  3. I have two VZW accounts. This is indeed a VZW account usage screen shot. I live and die by mine. Because it doesn't say unlimited, but rather 4GB on my account. I'm always checking it...paranoid that I'm going to go over. But generally end up using 2-3GB on it. Robert via Samsung Note II via Tapatalk
  4. Both of these scenarios are reasonable, in my opinion. I use on average 2-3GB of Sprint data on my device every month. However, it can shoot up to 4-6MB when I do a lot of travelling. I appreciate the flexibility that unlimited brings. However, I'm willing to live with a cap if Sprint cannot ensure a good data experience on LTE because of abusers. I support most means to limit abusers, whether traffic shaping, putting in place caps or throwing abusers off the network. Robert via Samsung Note II via Tapatalk
  5. Yes, I would define this example as abusive. 334GB is too much for an unlimited account. If all that usage was on one site, that would be a significant amount of the total data the site even used in that 15 day period. Maybe even 15% to 20%. All to one subscriber. Robert
  6. It neither promotes abuse against human beings, nor wireless networks. I fail to grasp your point. Robert
  7. When I lived in Vacaville, there were many different local references to Sacramento. More than just SacTown. There was also Sac, Sacto, or even Sacra-tomato. However, Sacratomato was only popular in the pre-teen crowd. Robert
  8. This is a great analogy of an explanation of exactly the position Sprint is in. Ironically, the loudest complainers when Sprint dumps unlimited will be the biggest causes of why Sprint had to drop it. Robert via Samsung Note II via Tapatalk
  9. AlcaLu upgrades 3G first on their sites. All the sites live with 4G now used to be just 3G last month. However, we won't beg you to stay. If you need another carrier, you should go. Robert via Nexus 4 using Tapatalk 2
  10. Tucson is being deployed right now too. S4GRU Sponsors have access to maps that show sites that are being upgraded, and which one are even partially accepted. Robert via Nexus 7 with Tapatalk HD

  13. GMO sites are In Progress in this market. Full builds should be starting soon. Robert via Nexus 7 with Tapatalk HD

  15. Yes, when referring to a 20MHz TDD carrier, it would be better expressed "20MHz TD-LTE." 20x20 would refer to separate uplink and downlink channels of FDD. Robert via Nexus 7 with Tapatalk HD
  16. Which are all legacy network upgrades at this point. No NV/LTE work accepted yet in SacTown. Robert via Nexus 7 with Tapatalk HD
  17. Looks like someone edited your post as the ID is now X's. Robert via Nexus 7 with Tapatalk HD
  18. It's OK to post the number of sites upgraded, or recently accepted. You've got my permission. I don't see that as revealing Sponsor info. If anything it builds interest to see which ones and may get someone to Sponsor (which we desperately need). I appreciate you being cautious and looking for my approval. 19. If there is one thing we have proven with this site, it's that two devices sitting next to each other can perform wildly different without a device problem or defect. It is very possible that the Note 2 was on a different channel/sector than the other devices. It could have been a wider channel or a less burdened channel. A lot more information is required to make any noteworthy observations. Robert via Nexus 7 with Tapatalk HD
  20. You stole my thunder! I was going to say the same thing. I guess great minds think alike. But I suppose warped minds would think alike too. Robert via Nexus 7 with Tapatalk HD
  21. The Note 2 performed nearly identically to the GS3 on Sprint LTE in my performance testing, despite differing RF testing numbers. Where the Note really differed in my testing is it would find the signal sooner without toggling than the GS3. Robert via Nexus 7 with Tapatalk HD
  22. I'm giving you the look I give my kids in the back seat, it's the "Daddy is not amused" face. Robert via Nexus 7 with Tapatalk HD
  23. You Joplin folks should start a Cell ID tracking sheet like the Austin and New Orelans members did. Then you can always know where you're connected. Robert via Nexus 7 with Tapatalk HD
  24. Shentel has a very dense PCS network. Much denser than Sprint has in similar size communities. Robert via Nexus 7 with Tapatalk HD
