Does anyone knows why Sprint is not offering the 128 GB Galaxy S6 Edge???

It was on the Best Buy pre-order page a couple days ago. I know I saw it in black and white.

Yeah, kinda odd. Not sure what's up with that.

I am hoping that Sprint will start shipping, following T-Mobile's lead.

Yep. There's folks all over the XDA and other sites posting up pics. I'm envious.

Well everyone should receive the 32gb models by the 10th if not earlier. The only one that is delayed is the gold model which for right now is 64gb only, thats the one I ordered and they said two to three weeks from order date. I figure they are under promising and they may ship them sooner.

Amazon is listing the gold/platinum model in 32GB. Unless it's an error, this is the only listing for this that I've seen.

Yeah, noticed that the other day.

It does show April 27 as release instead of April 10.

Yeah, not sure what the deal is with that but I figure since they will probably get their stock from sprint then sprint should have it much sooner unless they just put a random date hoping for the best.

How bout the free GS6/Note 6?  Best deal yet!  I wish they would have done this with the nexus 6.  Is it worth signing a new contract for the free GS6?

So here's my unfortunate dilemma: I just found out I'll be out of town from the 10-13th. Now I'm thinking of just ordering the gold one since I'm going to lose those several days anyways.

What color do y'all like the best?

I've read the white hides fingerprints the best, but that it also reflects light a little too much. The black sapphire shows the fingerprints the most. I'd really like to see the gold one in person, but nobody has it as a demo.

Gold platinum for me, black and white is a little too common so I went with the gold just to be different but it does look the best though except for the emerald green.  I wish sprint had the emerald green.

Yeah, I think I'm just going to order the Gold/Platinum from Amazon and see what happens being they're listing a 32 GB model and nobody else is.

It might be an incorrect listing, and knowing Amazon, it could result in them giving me the 64 GB at the same price, or getting some type of gift card for their mistake. Worst case, I get what I ordered.

Both of my S6 cases came in today. While they look nice I don't think the camera will be protected as much. But hey for $11.99 per case can I really complain. e95bcd1716fc73e41906c4641aad0ea9.jpg9d63948456b59a07b0de1f69b79e4734.jpg

It's a nice case especially for the cost. I'm just curious as to how far the camera will stick out past the case. Or maybe I think the camera doesn't stick out as far as I think and it's really flush with the case.

I am sure the edge in black and white will ship, I am concerned about the gold though.

Hey that's good news. I'm going on vacation Thursday afternoon. Wonder if I order now if I'll get it before then.

Anybody want to venture a guess as to how that relates to Best Buy pre orders?

Are the in store pre orders in sync with the online pre orders when it comes to certain models being on backorder?

You are out of The Loop in Chicago?  But if we find someone else who is between Wabash and Wells and Lake and Van Buren, he will know the scoop?  Okay, we need to find such a person.

    • Excuse my rookie comments here, but after enabling *#73#, it seems that the rainbow sim V2? requires n70 (I turned it off along with n71 - was hoping to track n66) to be available else it switches to T-Mobile.  So this confirms my suspicion that you need to be close to a site to get on Dish.  Have no idea why they don't just use plmn. To test, I put it into a s21 ultra, rebooted twice, came up on T-Mobile (no n70 on s21).  Tried to manually register on 313340, but it did not connect (tried twice). I am on factory unlocked firmware but used a s22 hack to get *#73# working.  Tried what you were suggesting with a T-Mobile sim partially installed, but that was very unstable with Dish ( I think they had figured that one out).  [edit: and now I see Boost sent me a successful device swap notice which says I can now begin to use my new device.  Sigh.  Will try again later and wait for this message - too impatient.]
    • Hopefully this indicates T-Mobile hasn't completely abandoned mmwave and/or small cells? But then again this is the loop, so take that as you will. Hopefully now that most macro activity is done (besides rural colo/builds), they will start working on small cells.
    • This has been approved.. https://www.cnet.com/tech/mobile/fcc-approves-t-mobiles-deal-to-purchase-mint-mobile/
    • In the conference call they had two question on additional spectrum. One was the 800 spectrum. They are not certain what will happen, thus have not really put it into their plans either way (sale or no sale). They do have a reserve level. Nationwide 800Mhz is seen as great for new technologies which I presume is IOT or 5g slices.  T-Mobile did not bite on use of their c-band or DOD.  mmWave rapidly approaching deadlines not mentioned at all. FWA brushes on this as it deals with underutilized spectrum on a sector by sector basis.  They are willing to take more money to allow FWA to be mobile (think RV or camping). Unsure if this represents a higher priority, for example, FWA Mobile in RVs in Walmart parking lots working where mobile phones need all the capacity. In terms of FWA capacity, their offload strategy is fiber through joint ventures where T-Mobile does the marketing, sales, and customer support while the fiber company does the network planning and installation.  50%-50% financial split not being consolidated into their books. I think discussion of other spectrum would have diluted the fiber joint venture discussion. They do have a fund which one use is to purchase new spectrum. Sale of the 800Mhz would go into this. It should be noted that they continue to buy 2.5Ghz spectrum from schools etc to replace leases. They will have a conference this fall  to update their overall strategies. Other notes from the call are 75% of the phones on the network are 5g. About 85% of their sites have n41, n25, and n71, 90% 5g.  93% of traffic is on midband.  SA is also adding to their performance advantage, which they figure is still ahead of other carriers by two years. It took two weeks to put the auction 108 spectrum to use at their existing sites. Mention was also made that their site spacing was designed for midrange thus no gaps in n41 coverage, while competitors was designed for lowband thus toggles back and forth for n77 also with its shorter range.
    • The manual network selection sounds like it isn't always scanning NR, hence Dish not showing up. Your easiest way to force Dish is going to be forcing the phone into NR-only mode (*#*#4636#*#* menu?), since rainbow sims don't support SA on T-Mobile.
