When and why did Sprint stop doing international unlock?

Thats a huge downgrade in their international services.

To improve money flow I’m guessing.

Why allow people to do an International Unlock to switch to a foreign carrier with an International SIM when you can instead keep them on your Global Roaming Plan that’s free for text/data ($.20/Min or more for Voice) , but has an upcharge for High Speed Data?

There are benefits to being on Global Roaming, as it’s clear and simple.

However, having the International Unlock option available again for devices on Lease would be useful.

So I wanted to post this and see what you guys think. I think this may be sprint .. what do you guys think ?

Since sprint is the carrier that still needs to fund the largest scale deployment

Highly likely that it's Sprint. John specifically mentioned zayo in his 5G chat with fiercewireless.

Look like Verizon gets to keep all the MMWave spectrum that T-Mobile was trying to make the FCC block

http:// https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.mobileworldlive.com/featured-content/top-three/fcc-refuses-to-block-verizon-mmwave-licence-transfer/amp/

So now what’s next T-Mobile? But I believe they have some but it’s in different places if I’m not mistaken. Sprint has their high band for 5G, ATT has theirs as well as Verizon.

They have 600Mhz [emoji6]
600 mhz tops out at 20x20 in some areas. Less than that in other areas. Mine they got 15x15. That's not enough for 5G.

They will have to wait until November to bid on the new auction if the FCC goes with its plan without delays. This is where Sprint needs to go ballistic and deploy those massive radios.

Well count yourself lucky. In my area TMobile only has 10 megahertz 600 band.

Took a look at this article this morning .. I hope this doesn't effect sprint in any way as they seem to really be pushing for the network this year

I noticed this interesting addition to the “Why Sprint” section of the Website: Coverage Map Comparison Slider for Kansas City area (2014 vs 2018)

https://www.sprint.com/en/landings/network.html?INTNAV=TopNav:WhySprint:Network

Scroll down towards the bottom to see it.

Pretty much every site has been upgraded in NYC and then some. It's just that KC is their home market so they used that.

I’d love to see this comparison for other markets across the country as Sprint makes progress on its network upgrades this year.
