Anyone know what's causing this? Happening every day and I have to reboot to get LTE data back.

Did this just start happening on Wed? I noticed the same thing on my M9 and have a friend with M9 experiencing the same thing out of nowhere. Now that I think about it, buddy with M8 having same exact issue.

No clue what is going on but it's pretty annoying.

I know it started mainly this week. I don't recall when. But it looks like several other people on Reddit have the same issue.

Remembering back to when I had a HTC M8 or M7, and I saw the error previously, if I remember correctly someone on another forum found out that the problem seemed to be caused by one of the HTC core apps that had received a botched update. If memory serves, the problems went away when HTC issued an update patch.

I think that is the only fix.

I'll swap out my ROM and see if that helps. Or reflash the Sense7 rom.

I used to have this problem with my Samsung Galaxy Nexus way back when.  Used to drive me bonkers!

My mom has the HK edition and yesterday we discovered her camera lens is scratched. Is this something that would be covered under warranty?

about 6 months ago I had the same problem which was producing blurry photos. I brought it to a sprint repair store who told me that it's not covered by warranty and that they would have to send it in for repair which may or may not be covered. Instead of dealing with that idiot I went to another sprint repair store. the guy there took my phone, tried updating something, did some testing and came back to me saying that it is a free replacement. I bought mine at release and with further research it appears on early released phones there was a film on the front of the camera lens that was sometimes peeling off and causing blurry photos. hopefully that helps.

If my memory is correct, the film on the HTC M8 camera lens, was some sort of Anti-Glare UV film. And, yes, it tended to peal off.

The UV film started wearing off of the camera lens on my HTC M8, but luckily for me the area around the lens apture completely wore off, so my pictures came out fine.

Others, however, had to wind up removing the remainder of the UV film by using a toothbrush and toothpaste.

I had this issue too. My m8 was also a release day m8. My pictures became very over exposed and blurry, and for a while I couldn't figure out why. Then people started talking about that film and I used a credit card to scratch the rest of the film off. The camera has been fine ever since.

Except for a huge crack through the lens that showed up a couple months after purchase, but that doesn't show up in the pictures so I guess it's whatever.

Hmm, this is all good to know.  That *is* kind of what it looks like, sort of like something is "peeling" off.  I'll look at it more closely and see if that's what it is!

If you haven't already read. Mo Versi tweeted the target for an update on sprint m8's is mid-week. Although he didn't post technical acceptance yet. We shall hear more in the next few days.

Anyone having issues with apps crashing?  I have the E8, but it's the same underneath as the M8 ...  Apps will random freeze and get the "Stopped responding" message all the time.  Happens in Facebook, Timehop, etc.  Really frustrating!  Tried clearing all caches but does not work.  Also uninstalled and reinstalled both.

    • Mapped two n41 small cell sin Jersey City today. They're the first two to be mapped there in Jersey City as far as I can tell and interestingly they're consecutive gNBs, possibly indicating they were installed around the same time. gNB 1088335 appears to be an upgrade of an older small cell. It looks identical to the T-Mobile n41 small cell I mapped earlier this year in Old Westbury.   I also mapped gNB 1088334 in Newport. This small cell appears to be a new build as I couldn't find any evidence of an older small cell in that area. Unfortunately no pic of it since I didn't even notice that I mapped it until I got home and I can't find it in Streetview.
    • Someone told me a couple years ago, that there were problems getting certain modems to aggregate overlapping spectrum even if the overlapping parts were actually blanked. So I think there might be firmware issues that need to be resolved first, which T-Mobile might not consider worth the effort for 4MHz at this time.
    • Tbh not that surprising. Every ISP seems to want to have an MVNO to pitch to their customers to make them stickier and maybe make some money in the process. And unlike USCC the MVNO should be able to cover TDS's entire wireline area, with infrastructure costs that are borne by someone else. Entertaining, yes. Surprising, not really...particularly when competing against Comcast or Spectrum, or even eventually T-Mobile fixed + mobile. This also strengthens my bet that they'll rebrand all their fixed wireless stuff as TDS, as that runs on spectrum they're keeping for now.
    • No? RCS on Google messages works great for me, messages between anyone with RCS enabled go through with no problems. Don't remember the last time I had an issue. I only have issues with people on iPhones on different carriers from T-Mobile.
    • Has anyone experienced a ridiculous amount of difficulty with Google messages with RCS enabled?  It has been a train wreck for me for the past year so I now use WhatsApp.  That works very well for all of us.... Android and iOS.
