The Dave
So with the front stereo speakers, I am guessing this will be similar in size to the Galaxy Mega?
bitslizer
isn't Sprint TDD 2500mhz...? gotta wait and see then, I was going to go buy a note 3 if the single band was confirmed
WiWavelength
isn't Sprint TDD 2500mhz...? No, not really. Band 41 is nearly 200 MHz in bandwidth. It encompasses both 2500 MHz and 2600 MHz. AJ

WiWavelength
ENGADGET WAS WRONG! HTC's website shows Tri-Band. You have to go through the UK site!!!!!!!!!!!! WiWavelength
The headphone jack is going to be on the top. Pow! I'm psyched! All I'm saying is that they should have a priority line for people who already have the HTC One. AJ

So it's single band, no stylus, no removable battery, 2GB ram instead of 3, base model is 16GB instead of 32, and it's significantly thicker and heavier than the Note 3. I don't see the average consumer leaning towards this. Tri-band was the one that it could have differentiated itself on since the specs aren't arguably "current." bitslizer
I'm ok with the Snapdragon 600, using it now on the S4 and its acceptable to me, albeit the S4 ran at 1.9ghz, but I don't play that much 3D intensive game on it, so the 800 would have been nice, but its not a deal killer for me, the boom sound and tri band and the 6" screen though, those are what I want, the Speaker on the S4 is so anemic.... ericdabbs
So all along that single Chinese source was right in that it was a a Snapdragon S600. Not too impressed that the device seems kinda thick at 10.27 mm (0.40 in). People must be glad that it comes with a microSD card slot. The 3300 maH battery is not too shabby. Gotta have my extra 64gb Sent from my SPH-L900 using Tapatalk According to the specs on the HTC website under Memory, there is a microSD card slot that can accept up to 64 GB. You are in luck!! This probably also means that Sprint and Verizon will most likely sell the 16 GB version because of the microSD card slot. http://www.htc.com/www/smartphones/htc-one-max/#specs
ericdabbs
What do you guys think the HTC One Max on Sprint will be priced at? I am hoping that it will be $199 or at most $249 on 2 year contract especially if they want to cut into Galaxy Note 3 sales.

While I am undecided at this point, my other half wants to get the One Max, she is digging the larger screen. I tried selling her on a note 3 but she can't stand how samsung devices look and feel. WiWavelength
Everyone, it is now officially the HTC One max. So, get with the program. A huge handset requires an ironic lowercase name. AJ

It'll be interesting to see the reviews come in. Apparently, the jump from 5.7 to 5.9 is significant enough that that review felt it was too awkward. Terrell352
Seems like it definitely lost beats audio support. I know people say its a gimmick but I actually enjoyed it on the EVO LTE. I bet next years Samsung phone have it because they would sell more on a galaxy device.
