digiblur ROM 2014.01.23 [Note2] [MK4]

The only setback I had was that I temporarily lost root after a reboot (I had been restoring apps, etc through Titanium Backup). The only fix was to reflash the ROM over the installation and when I went back to SuperSU, it prompted me to update binary, so I chose through to do it through recovery. Since then, it's been working perfectly fine. Still trying to get all my apps restored through Titanium Backup, and so far, it hasn't done it again.  :fingers:

Stock email is still in there.  Think we even left Exchange in there too this time around.

The PRL Write method is the same as it was before.  Toggle Mobile Data -> ##DATA# -> View -> PRL Write. Let it reboot and toggle mobile data back on after verifying it wrote.  If you don't toggle mobile data you'll be trying to write about 10 times to make it stick.

Anyone else having an issue when holding down the Home button to pull up your recently used apps and SystemUI crashing? Does it every time I try.

No issue, works fine for me

Do a Logcat of the crash.. Do either of you have Google Search from the play store installed?

I didn't have it installed until you mentioned it. Installed it and now my recent apps work fine. :tu:

Hmm.. But it shouldn't be like that. I don't have it installed on the S3 version here and it has the option grayed out.

Make sure a full email address is typed in otherwise the buttons will gray out.

I'm getting another crash. I just installed two live wallpapers and when I try to customize it, it says that the "Live wallpaper picker has stopped." This error message happens with both that were installed.

Can't say that I tested that on my S3 build. Let me know which ones you installed.

Also grab a logcat.

I have Season Zen HD, Snow Stars Full, and Under the Sea Live Wallpaper (free) installed. All three crash when attempting to open them.

I've got a Logcat, I'll PM it to you.

Looks like I can reproduce it on the S3 as well.

I'm thinking the TB restores you all have done is causing issues. I only recently installed Google search and was able to get to recent apps before.

Might have to get one of you guys to backup your data partition, wipe it, and test the recent apps button without Google Search to make sure.  In the meantime I'll trace down the live wallpaper thing.

What I use is all working fine so far. No live wallpaper, use the gmail app, Nova launcher found layout backup on SD card just fine. Let Google find and re download my apps. I never have much luck with titanium backup restores.

    • Your referring to the $25.00 a month Infinite Unlimited plan?  I don't see any other plans on there even cheaper than that on their website.  I was looking at the Motorola 2023 Edge fwiw as well for $10.00 a month.
    • A heavy n41 overlay as an acquisition condition would be a win for customers, and eventually a win for T-Mobile as that might be enough to preclude VZW/AT&T adding C-Band for FWA due to spreading the market too thinly (which means T-Mobile would just have local WISPs/wireline ISPs as competition). USCC spacing (which is likely for contiguous 700 MHz LTE coverage in rural areas) isn't going to be enough for contiguous n41 anyway, and I doubt they'll densify enough to get there.
    • Boost Infinite with a rainbow SIM (you can get it SIM-only) is the cheapest way, at $25/mo, to my knowledge; the cheaper Boost Mobile plans don't run on Dish native. Check Phonescoop for n70 support on a given phone; the Moto G 5G from last year may be the cheapest unlocked phone with n70 though data speeds aren't as good as something with an X70 or better modem.
    • Continuing the USCC discussion, if T-Mobile does a full equipment swap at all of USCC's sites, which they probably will for vendor consistency, and if they include 2.5 on all of those sites, which they probably will as they definitely have economies of scale on the base stations, that'll represent a massive capacity increase in those areas over what USCC had, and maybe a coverage increase since n71 will get deployed everywhere and B71 will get deployed any time T-Mobile has at least 25x25, and maybe where they have 20x20. Assuming this deal goes through (I'm betting it does), I figure I'll see contiguous coverage in the area of southern IL where I was attempting to roam on USCC the last time I was there, though it might be late next year before that switchover happens.
    • Forgot to post this, but a few weeks ago I got to visit these small cells myself! They're spread around Grant park and the surrounding areas, but unfortunately none of the mmwave cells made it outside of the parks along the lake into the rest of downtown. I did spot some n41 small cells around downtown, but they seemed to be older deployments limited to 100mhz and performed poorly.
