On LTE barely get 257kb download with 5meg upload. If I switch to 3g, thats another story, almost 2megs down and up. Something is broken in the island.

I called sprint today to report the slow LTE speeds in PR, they said that don't have any outage reports for PR. Some one else called sprint about this issue??

I usually find calling to be a waste of time. The kinds of problems we are seeing should be detected by their diagnostic software long before we report anything.

Indeed, they should detect the problems on their end. However, if one has the time available, does calling (and escalating past the Tier I support) really hurt anything?

No it does not hurt but I have never seen it make any difference the times I have called.

Here's a good question, why is there more LTE coverage in Puerto Rico than 3G coverage. I'm pretty sure there aren't any 4G only towers, like Verizon has in Alaska but, it is still confusing.

Not confusing. We've discussed the issue a lot. Sprint LTE coverage maps are very inaccurate and overstating coverage. Whereas the 3G EVDO coverage maps are more realistic. We have been complaining about Sprint LTE coverage maps since they first started showing them in July 2012. They've never corrected the problem.

Sprint should use T-Mobile styled maps. They have the best maps of any carrier to me,

They also grossly overstate their 3G/4G coverage. I only get HSPA+ coverage in their two darkest green colors. The lighter two green shades are no service on my Nexus 4.

Hi everybody. Long time without writing. I'm very happy with my service. I also note that the new Sprint plans do not allow any Internet Sharing. In Puerto Rico, Open Mobile, Claro, AT&T, Tmobile now offer some kind of Internet Sharing in their plans without charges. 500mb at least. What happen with the vision? They stock on network, but not vision, haha. What do you think guys? We need to complain about this. Is we want to save our yellow Japanese company they need to be more aggressive and we need to promote better their service with our relatives. Remember I do not work for Sprint or Masayoshi Son haha

At this point I am not even sure what the issue is but at least it would seem that voice and data services are a lot  more stable now than every before.

How do you share unlimited? You can't.

What is the real reason why it's taking so long to get 4G here in st.croix. Do anyone know. I think I'll feel better if I knew.

The real reason? What fake reasons have you been given here?
