ryry4ya
So i was on my way to my friends house and noticed a guy dangling from the Sprint tower across the street. Today i saw the lte antennas installed just like the pictures have shown i will try to get a picture up if i can buy good news for Columbus. andycapps
that was sad yes ? Sent from my EVO using Tapatalk 2 When you quoted that, I didn't see the date at first and actually got excited. The other day I looked at the site for permits in Columbus regarding antennas, and I didn't see anything for Sprint in the last year. They're all for AT&T and T-Mobile, installing 6 antennas and RRU's, etc.
kellybrf
The long answer is in about 30 different places in our forums. But the short answer is three fold: One, the WiMax network was supposed to much larger and robust to offload a lot of data off the 3G. Two, Sprint was spending its network money on keeping Clearwire WiMax afloat and starting Network Vision. Three, Sprint has been losing money for along time and did not have the resources to spend upgrading on a network they were just about to start dismantling with Network Vision improvements. However, the end of the old 3G network is near. The new 3G Network and LTE network are performing wonderfully. It looks like Sprint will be starting, completing or well underway in every market in the country by mid year. Robert via Samsung Note II via Tapatalk i get that, but i guess i dont understand why its gotten so abysmal. wimax is still around, and plenty of people still have wimax phones here. i understand that theyve not been putting any money into it, but its just been such a sharp dropoff that that didnt seem to be the sole reason

And the fix is coming in Network Vision upgrades. They won't start until late Spring or Summer in Columbus market. S4GRU
Robert... When are you expecting Sprint to make their next announcement for the next round of cities? I have no idea. I do not get advanced notice of what their marketing people decide to do. Robert via Nexus 7 on Tapatalk

james2oo4
The 4G was pretty consistent in a building. However, I did happen to be a few feet away from the tower. Also, what I noticed was the further away from the tower, the slower the speed. I guess that is to be expected. I did not think to check 3G. Sorry about that. keelerman8042
Updated the map took the Morse Road permit off due to that being locked because some one messesd up in the permiting department or who ever and put the new permit up on sawmill. You guys will have to click the external link to view where it is. For some reason the map wont pop up unless you hit the link. awa88
Hi all. Sorry I'm a bit new to this, but if work permits and such are being filed now for Columbus, approximately when does that mean launch will be for LTE?
lilotimz
Hi all. Sorry I'm a bit new to this, but if work permits and such are being filed now for Columbus, approximately when does that mean launch will be for LTE? When they get approved. Could be right after they get approved or could be 60-90 days or could be months. Nobody knows.

Do it right the first time, it gets accepted and everyone gets paid. Capeche?" But then again, I have an over active imagination.
