Came down to Tulare for a day visit. I picked up LTE around Atwater and off and on south. Here is what I am getting in Tulare near the outlet mall. Posted Image I will be in Visalia for a bit and will try to get more speedchecks then. I will run Sensorly on my way back up North this evening.

I've been seeing lte in Hanford today. Speeds aren't very good but better than anything I see on 3g anytime other than the middle of the night. I'll switch back to touchwiz to check speeds on that too.

It's all good. She has another one on Monday and a third later on that isn't as critical. She had to have reconstruction and stabilization done. She is doing good and is in good spirits. I'm home now, but I'm glad I could go down for a few hours.

At least she's only 3-4 hours away. Glad to hear she's doing better.

Can't stay connected to 4g on touchwiz it'll connect and drop after a minute so. Speeds seem to have stabilized to about 1.5Mbps download on both touchwiz and cyanogen.

Almost forgot I'm not using the most recent touchwiz my backup is md4.

Based on the Sensorly color in your pic, you must be getting LTE from the one LTE accepted site in Lemoore, unless the site by the Adventist medical center went live today, or even the one in east Hanford. Not sure if the NV panels were even installed on the Hanford sites or not though.

Base station id in cdma field test is 44850. Maps as being Hanford I am inside for the signal readings. I was hoping to have some more through out town but apparently used all my passive mapping before I went out. Screen of cdma field test attached. I assume it's still being worked on when I lose lte it's still the same base station just ehrpd instead.

BSID is only for your CDMA 1x voice service. Check out Signal Check. Much better app. And maybe they were testing LTE on one of the Hanford sites. That would be wonderful.

I see what you mean switching the tracking in cdma field test it shows the same number of 310120 in the status bar that signal check shows. Never shows in the app though. No idea how to find that location. I can't attach the screenshot, apparently I've ran out of space for attachments.

Get Dropbox and upload to you public folder and then you can post links here, or use the picture attachment icon and post the link there. Then you bypass your limits because they are saved at Dropbox.

Great news! It is the site by the Adventist Medical Center based on how dark those purples are. If you become a Sponsor, you can see the map that shows all the site acceptances. For information on becoming a Sponsor, please click this link.

Got an iPhone 5c last night and I'm having lte issues. I'll get a bar and it disappears. Thinking about returning it and getting an s4

What town are you in?

    • I think the push for them is adding US Mobile as a MVNO with a priority data plan.  Ultimately, making people more aware of priority would allow them (and other carriers) to differentiate themselves from MVNOs like Consumer Cellular that advertise the same coverage. n77 has dramatically reduced the need for priority service at Verizon where the mere functioning of your phone was in jeopardy a couple of years ago if you had a low priority plan like Red Pocket. Only have heard of problems with T-Mobile in parts of Los Angeles. AT&T fell in between. All had issues at large concerts and festivals, or sporting events if your carrier has no on-site rights. Edit: Dishes native 5g network has different issues: not enough sites, limited bandwidth. Higher priority would help a few. Truth is they can push phones to AT&T or T-Mobile.
    • Tracfone AT&T sims went from QCI 8 to 9 as well a couple years ago. I'm pretty neutral towards AT&T's turbo feature here, the only bad taste left was for those who had unadvertised QCI 7 a couple months ago moved down to 8. In my eyes it would have been a lot better for AT&T to include turbo in those Premium/Elite plans for free to keep them at QCI 7, while also introducing this turbo add on option for any other plans or devices. As it stands now only a handful of plans can add it, and only if you're using a device on a random list of devices AT&T considers to be 5G smartphones.
    • My Red Pocket AT&T GSMA account was dropped to QCI 9 about a year ago.  Most recently 8 for the last few years prior.  Voice remains at 5.
    • https://arstechnica.com/tech-policy/2024/05/att-announces-7-monthly-add-on-fee-for-turbo-5g-speeds/ Hopefully we don't ever see T-Mobile do something like this. Based on how I was treated with my Credit Limit, it's definitely not the same company it was before the merger, and it's entirely possible they'd try it.
