  1. It says Sprint and Tmobile only. So yes it won't have the mic hole in the back.
  2. Cases are sold as one Tmobile/AT&T/Sprint/International model. Cases are not broken down by carrier. My guess is that for most cases the AT&T 3rd mic hole will be covered in the case.
  3. That is fine and when December comes around and you are able to donate to premier sponsor, you can find out more details then. I am sure you will start finding clues as to which areas in Los Angeles will have LTE 2600 when the LG G2 comes out and people start reporting which locations they were able to get LTE 2600. I know I will be.
  4. Well yes and no. Yes the total number of spectrum when you include all of the 2.5 GHz spectrum is a lot but the majority of the 2.5 GHz spectrum is EBS spectrum (dynamic, deal with many leases) vs. BRS spectrum (static). Sprint could at any time drop the EBS license leases and would be left with just 55.5 MHz of BRS 2.5 GHz spectrum. However I also say No in this respect because Sprint is still in many major markets spectrum constrained with only 20 MHz of PCS spectrum (not counting G block). The fact that they Sprint still has to support CDMA voice, 3G, and LTE all on the PCS spectrum means that 20 MHz is still not enough. They will still need more PCS spectrum to fill these roles especially in all the major markets to add capacity. I still believe that Sprint needs to bid on the H block and make great use of it to add another 5x5 LTE carrier. Sure we like to poke fun at Charlie and how we would like to see him screwed by driving up the price to make it uncomfortable for him but at the same time, I am looking at the big picture and what is best for the wireless industry. I don't want to see any spectrum wasted and I feel if Dish gets the PCS H block spectrum, they will put the 10 MHz spectrum to waste since they are so disorganized. Dish is already screwed up and they don't have any plan on how they plan to deploy the 2 GHz S-band spectrum. If you add that on top of the steps that Dish would need to do to get the additional PCS H block spectrum 3GPP certified and come up with H block wireless equipment for commercial deployment, I don't see how they will do it and meet the build out deadlines. If I were Sprint, I would definitely call Dish's bluff and bid on the H block to force Dish to convert the 2000-2020 spectrum to supplemental downlink.
  5. Thank goodness the government shutdown has been delayed for at least another 3 months or so. The FCC database is back up so I am expecting to see the HTC One Max for Verizon and Sprint hit the FCC database soon. All you FCC database gurus start the hunting.
  6. You can't upgrade at Best Buy or any other 3rd party provider if you are a SERO customer. It is in the FAQ section. http://delivery.sprint.com/m/p/nxt/epc/EPRP-modal.asp?vanity=true&popup=true&ECID=vanity:everythingpluscustomer
  7. You can find that information if you become a Premier Sponsor. There are TD-LTE site maps that outline the LTE 2600 progress in the Premier Sponsors forum.
  8. That is not true. Sprint has said that they are planning to expand the 2500 MHz LTE nationwide to all Sprint towers but they will begin doing that in 2014 and will take some time. The first priority is to overlay the entire Wimax network with 2500 MHz LTE first and then expand 2500 MHz LTE nationwide. Eventually 2500 MHz LTE will be in New Orleans. About 800 MHz LTE, New Orleans will get that sometime in 2014. Check this article out. http://www.fiercewireless.com/story/sprint-cfo-softbank-deal-lets-us-take-clearwire-spectrum-nationwide/2013-07-30#ixzz2afIYaxzM
  9. Right now TD-LTE is only being deployed as a overlay to its Wimax network. Since New Orleans was not a Wimax market you will not have TD-LTE at this point.
  10. Apparently it is not a complete system dump. I guess he is still missing some lib and vendor files and perhaps more. I am not sure what to look for to confirm a complete system dump but it seems like he has more work to do.
  11. I guess it pays to not be one of the first Wimax markets.
  12. I sure hope Sprint still bids on the H block. Sprint could definitely use more of that PCS spectrum. But if they were not to bid on the H block then Sprint better get at least 20 MHz of 600 MHz spectrum because that is sorely needed. I feel in the end, if Ergen gets Lightsquared 1.6 GHz spectrum for uplink then he will be happy to pair that with their 2180-2200 MHz spectrum for downlink. Sprint should just bluff at Dish and buy the H block anyways to force Dish to make the 2000-2020 MHz spectrum to downlink since it would be pointless to waste 20 MHz of spectrum on uplink rather than adding it to supplemental downlink. At that point if Ergen doesn't change the 2000-2020 MHz to downlink, he is just hurting his backup plan if he ever had to sell the 2000-2020 MHz spectrum because no one wants to buy supplemental uplink especially when downlink is more important.
  13. Well that is the nature of those Otterbox cases. They have to have flaps to open and close the ports to give it protection when you are not using the ports which is why people like them. I am not a case guru but I am sure there must be a case out there that gives the Otterbox like protection around the phone but do not have the flaps for the ports.

OMG could you guys imagine if Google made a Nexus phablet. That would be awesome.
  15. Wow....*reaches for a straw* because apparently that is what this article is telling us. I don't buy this rumor because on youtube the song can be 4:40 or it can be shorter or longer depending on how the uploader cut off the time. It just seems like an article written to attract attention. But hell I hope I am wrong though. But then the question is will the Nexus 5 and Nexus 10 be announced on Oct 18th? It would sound strange without an event. Then again last year they were suppose to have an Android 4.2/Nexus 10 event but due to Hurricane Sandy it was cancelled.
  16. Not too thrilled that the HTC One Max is so thick at 10.27 mm (0.40"). Any smartphone in the 0.40" and up range in thickness is too thick in 2013. On top of that when you add the HTC One max power flip case it just adds MOAR thickness to the phone. In terms of pocketability HTC really dropped the ball here not only because of the huge dimensions of the height and width of the phone but the thickness of the phone really is going to deter folks from picking up the HTC One max especially if they wear skinny jeans.
  17. Cmon guys...it was obvious that there would not be an announcement today. Google usually hosts an event to announce the Nexus 10 and the next Android. Invites to the event would need to have been sent out at least a week ago. I now expect that the Nexus 5 won't be announced at the very earliest end of Oct if not early Nov.
  18. According to Qualcomm, LTE-A with CA can combine multiple LTE carriers of up to 100 MHz (ex: 20+20+20+20+20) to create one big fat huge pipe. However no wireless carrier has that much free spectrum to spare nor has the power output needed to do this though. Going past 20+20 with CA shouldn't be an issue.
  19. The LG G2 should have Qualcomm Quick Charge 2.0 correct? Because of the Snapdragon 800 processor. I wonder if it does help charge devices up to 75% faster.
  20. Sprint should just sell its WCS A and B blocks in the southeast US to AT&T so it makes great use of the spectrum so that AT&T can get a full 10x10 LTE carrier on WCS spectrum. Sprint is just sitting on it. I would much rather have them swap some WCS spectrum for PCS spectrum in areas where they need help.
  21. This is not good. I wonder if other markets will be affected by this for using this OEM's equipment.
  22. I don't think Sprint should use their LTE 2600 spectrum for VoLTE. Not sure how TD LTE plays well with voice and handoffs to FDD LTE. Sprint should have plenty of DVD spectrum to use for VoLTE. Sent from my Motorola Photon 4G using Tapatalk 2
