  1. Mike or anyone familiar with this GCI, PCI, TAC stuff, I have a question about how to take the data that is output by SignalCheck in the screenshot below and interpret it to determine which tower I am connected to. It seems like maybe one of my local towers just got upgraded to LTE today since I was not able to get LTE prior to today. I would like to try to find out which one.
  2. Are you talking about the Verizon root status flag? If so then Sprint, TMUS and ATT doesn't have a root status flag. It is only specific to Verizon G2. Also even if you revert back to stock and you need to return it to a Sprint store, they are not going to check if any LG root flag has been changed other than if it was obvious in the Settings-> About Phone which Sprint doesnt have.
  3. AJ, do you think Verizon still releases SVLTE devices since they don't have LTE Release 9 or 10 which contains the eCSFB "handover" method and haven't deployed eCSFB on a nationwide scale yet. I know Verizon first deployed LTE on LTE Release 8 which only has the eCSFB "redirection" method which wasn't ideal and going forward the "handover" method is preferred. If Verizon doesn't have eCSFB deployed on its LTE towers at this time that could explain why they still release dual radio LTE phones. Are we sure the reason for Verizon SVLTE phone is as simple as just dual band vs. triband LTE issue? Like if Verizon deployed LTE on PCS and had 700/AWS/PCS LTE, would that automatically force Verizon to deploy single radio LTE phones? I think we know why Sprint is moving towards single radio LTE phones because they have LTE Release 9 software and are making and paying for the steps now to be more compliant with VoLTE as well as build the S102 tunnel.

    Quite astute I might add.
  5. Oh Google!!!! Not everyone is going to use Google Play Music.
  6. What the heck? Why are these online streaming radio apps not compatible on the N5? It uses a data connection for gosh sakes. Its not like its using a FM radio.

Yes please merge the threads but rename the title of the thread to be "LG G Flex"
  8. Iheartradio app should work on the Nexus 5 since it needs data connection. Its just a streaming radio application. Were there rumors that the iheartradio app wasn't going to work on the Nexus 5?
  9. Thanks but I am not the creator of the files. I just do a lot of research over at XDA forums to figure out how to root and the devs are so smart in making it easier and easier. Rooting your phone is like freeing the phone from its shackles and I can't imagine not being able to root. Its kinda one of the main reasons I like Android over iOS at the ease of rooting to customize your phone.
  10. I am very calculated when it comes to rooting. Lets just say, I don't root my phones unless I had a method to return back to stock. I have those stock files as well.

I think the responses in the two threads should be combined and the title of the thread is changed to "LG G Flex (LS995)"
  12. Its so simple to root like literally a minute and the customization of the G2 is just crazy. Its just a matter of whether you want to or not. I can tell you all the links and files you need to download and there are youtube tutorials on how to do it. Once you watch the youtube video, you'll laugh at how ridiculously easy it is. Just PM me if you are interested.

Yes the Sprint LG G Flex is triband LTE.
  14. In terms of speaker volume or headset volume, there are mods for that when you root your phone.
  15. Getting LTE 2600 is still hard to get right now. You basically have to be standing near a known deployed LTE 2600 tower and do an airplane mode cycle in order to get LTE 2600. Since you are not a premier sponsor chances are you are not in an area where LTE 2600 is deployed.
  16. I think that is lame if you have to set a 5 minute minimum. I think it should be at least a 1 minute minimum but if I would probably set it to every 2 minutes if I could change it.
  17. Is anyone aware of a method to change the LTE Frequency Scan timer on the G2? The default of 5 minutes is way too long.
  18. Yeah same thing. 5 mins or 300 seconds. I guess the Moto X uses minutes while HTC One Max uses seconds. I wonder if there is a way to change it on LG phones. Not sure if Samsung phones have this option. I really hate that 5 minute interval. I want to scale it down to 1 or 2 minutes scan intervals.
  19. Just curious...was the default LTE frequency scan timer set to 300 seconds?
  20. Which menu did you find the scan time setting and what dialer code did you use? I assume you are using the Moto X phone?
  21. Where do you change this setting on most Sprint LTE phones? I have only seen this option available on the htc one max. Sent from my LG G2 LS980 using Tapatalk
  22. Same here too. My google play services only eat up 2% of my battery.
  23. You might want to clean up what you are asking for. I am so confused. as to what you are trying to look for.
  24. You guys didn't really think Google was going to let you get away with that. Although it would be sweet to get a Nexus 7 for $179 before taxes.
