  1. As long as the backhaul is up to snuff, this indeed could become very interesting. Sent from my SPH-L900 using Tapatalk 2

  3. I think the PCS H block and 600 MHz auction are more worthy targets for Sprint/SoftBank to purchase than Dish's spectrum.
  4. Well one can only hope that once Nextel is finally shuttered, Network Vision is complete and their balance sheet starts looking better, that Sprint will eventually start to build out their own coverage in some of these areas where they've lost pseudo native coverage. Or at least the areas where it makes economic sense for them to do so.
  5. A minor war of words between Sprint & AT&T, more like a skirmish actually: http://www.broadcastingcable.com/article/492974-Sprint_CEO_Hesse_Plugs_FCC_Weighted_Spectrum_Screen.php
  6. While I certainly understand your position, I highly doubt that a Dish takeover would equate to a get out of ETF free card.
  7. Just donated. Thanks for the efforts Robert & staff!
  8. There was a reason for that which has been gone over time and again, but it really doesn't even matter at this point. Sent from my SPH-L900 using Tapatalk 2
  9. Well Phil Goldstein did the detective work to deduce company W & company Z. Haven't put much thought into it yet as I'm beat at the moment, but I wonder if company X and company Y might be CenturyLink and/or Cox.
  10. I do hate that. It's, for lack of a better term, simply rude. If they can't have enough decency to respond to their customers then they shouldn't have made a Facebook page. I think that'd be a good idea. Since they didn't want to respond on their Facebook page, why not put them on the spot for everyone in the area to see. I bet they might respond then. I certainly can't say definitively, but yes it's a safe guess that the backhaul needs to be upgraded.
  11. You could try contacting Swiftel on their Facebook page and see if they're willing to comment publicly on their network upgrade plans. Sent from my SPH-L900 using Tapatalk 2
  12. Was anything mentioned about LTE-advanced? Sent from my SPH-L900 using Tapatalk 2
  13. While I don't think Entner is quite as bad as Muppett (surprised I haven't seen any drivel from him lately), it's hard to take him seriously when he errs so early in his (jaded) opinion piece: Ummm, no. SoftBank's offer doesn't value Sprint at $20B. Their offer values 70% of Sprint at slightly over $20B. Big difference there, Roger...Just so unnecessarily sloppy.
  14. A pretty sizable thread about the subject here: http://www.s4gru.com/index.php?/topic/3585-Dish-Network-proposes-merger-with-Sprint-Nextel-for-$25.5-billion Sent from my SPH-L900 using Tapatalk 2
  15. Ok, but when is the appropriate time? Sent from my SPH-L900 using Tapatalk 2

  17. Come on, Robert, don't hold back. Tell us how you really feel about ol' Charlie!
  18. I think fundamentally Dish's offer and plans are intriguing. I think most who are balking at the deal are doing it because of familiarity with Ergen's past and the corporate culture at Dish. If this were DirecTV making the offer, I think it *might* be more compelling from an end user standpoint, but of course D* doesn't have the spectrum that Charlie has. Here's a comparison of the offers: http://blogs.wsj.com...s/?mod=yahoo_hs and this is what stands out most to me:
  19. Be that as it may, it still is disingenuous for the OP to try and chastise Sprint for having roaming agreements while giving VZW an 'atta boy'. Meanwhile VZW is using at least 17 (maybe more) LTEiRA partners to help build out their coverage which is similar to Sprint's SRA agreements. If it's ok in one case, then it's ok in both cases.
  20. http://finance.yahoo.com/news/25-5-billion-offer-letter-113156279.html The letter that Dish sent to Sprint:
