  1. And i'm still waiting on those pictures that you took to determine if they began work or not.. Doesn't help that Davis only posts permits once every 3 months. /shrug
  2. Ranting is against the S4GRU posting rules are not allowed here. Constructive criticism of Sprint is allowed though as long as it pertains to discussing the Network Vision rollout and not just "if sprint doesn't improve then i'll leave for *insert company here*. Tim
  3. Nah not 4G as that would be obvious. Enjoy that upgraded 3G speed while you can... they'll be switching back to the shitty legacy 3G antennas after they finish testing and do cluster launches after they get 10-15 cell sites upgraded in an area which will be many, many weeks away.
  4. Appears to be upgraded backhaul in place and 3G in testing. No way in hell are you going to get those speeds with legacy T1 backhaul which maxes out at 1.5 mbps and in an area like arden-arcade. Might wanna become a sponsor here in order to check out my map on the arden-arcade sprint cell sites which may be in progress.
  5. It's not certified for Band 4 LTE.
  6. Nope. 4G is always first and if there is no need to cluster launch 3g then they'll do 3g/4g for acceptances. Notice my market and how almost every full build accepted is for LTE and the only ones not are a cluster in an area where it's obvious that backhaul is not available yet.
  7. IIRC, they're upgrading as many sites as possible for 3G / CDMA 800 in all Ohio markets and relegating 4G to the back burner. They're also going to push a PRL to prioritize CDMA 800 1xA so phones will connect to SMR service on the new NV sites instead of having the nightmare of handing off between Samsung & legacy Motorola gear (which is no bueno).
  8. *remembers the batchgeo 250 point limit* hmm... I guess we can just keep it at Roseville.
  9. All Sprint Network Vision upgraded cell sites are LTE-Release 9 specification and can be software upgraded to LTE-Rel 10 (LTE-A) quite easily in the future. Sprint will be using LTE-A technologies like carrier-aggregation as we move into 2014; first for BRS/EBS 2500-2600 in 20mhz pipes (20+20) and then the current LTE PGS G block with another freed up PCS A-F block.
  10. They're actually both different incorporated cities so they have to be marked different from each other. That side of town is all county unincorporated areas with a few incorporated cities here and there. Incorporated city of sacramento is across the river around arden-arcade. As noted in this county map...
  11. Yep. Downtilt, in very simplistic terms, is basically the angle that the antenna is pointed at the ground.
  12. Bradshaw road are covered by other sites and that sector is possibly set for a higher downtilt than the ones facing grant line road. The area towards grant line / sunrise are more rural so the downtilt are probably not set as high as the one facing bradshaw which are more residential.
  13. Guess you can add citrus heights, CA to teh list. One CH LTE site accepted and they're getting plenty of bleedover signal from roseville sites along with their CH one. Shows on sensorly.
  14. Because you driving "up on bradshaw till grant line" meant you went south whereas the cell site with LTE is up north over on jackson road (highway 16)... I'm pretty sure one tend to not get a LTE signal if you're driving away from it...
  15. The inquiry has been answered and thread is now closed.
  16. It's not 5x10. It's 10x10 as that indicates that there are 10mhz dedicated for upload and 10 mhz dedicated for download (75 / ~25 DL -UL). Easy answer? They bought the entire 700 block for several billion dollars. -- Side Note -- Sensorly showing 4G in Rancho Cordova which is way out of range (i think) of the accepted LTE cell site way south of mather. Could be another site approaching completion around Rancho Cordova so keep your eyes out and sensorly running over there.
  17. No phones support 800 LTE at this moment. There are tri-band LTE dongles announced and soon to be on sale though. FIrst tri-band lte phones are expected around september time frame or Q3/Q4.
  18. Because Sprint only owns ~14 mhz of SMR spectrum in most of the country which allows for one 5x5 mhz LTE carrier and one 1.5x1.5 CDMA 1xA carrier. Some areas have spectrum squatters or other entities owning slices of the SMR spectrum (there were no build out requirements for SMR) thus Sprint reduces to 3x3.
  19. 800 will be deployed in either 5x5mhz or 3x3mhz configurations depending on local spectrum availability in lieu of other entities holding portions of the block like Solinco or spectrum squatters... In a 5x5 configuration, the speeds will be no different than PCS other than the fact that you will likely get more usable LTE signal than PCS which translates to better speeds than PCS at the same position as LTE is very signal dependent. In a 3x3mhz configuration, the theoretical max is something like 22 mbps (?).
  20. Yeah! That's pretty damn far from the actual signal source (which you can find on my map) but yay!
  21. Eh! Finally someone found the LTE site down over there and it seems to have a huge coverage area.
  22. First page of my sponsor thread... http://s4gru.com/index.php?/topic/3724-upper-central-valley-market-network-vision-permits/
  23. Wait.. It's not the summer of 2013 yet?!??!?!
