  1. 3 LTE sites accepted yesterday. The first is way south of Rancho Cordova near Hwy 16 (jackson road) & Tree View Road. The other two are in Roseville & Citrus Heights near the exit of 80 & antelope and around the bel air supermarket on foothills blvd. Exact locations are marked on my sponsor permit / progress map & soon to be the interactive maps.
  2. In terms of Rf performance: GS4 >=GN2>>>>>LG Opt G >>>>> GS3 >= HT Cone >>>>>>>>> One X Sent from my SPH-D710
  3. http://s4gru.com/index.php?/topic/4120-network-visionlte-west-kentucky-market-louisville-evansville-bowling-green/ ?
  4. First, that's a cell site and not a tower. Second, probably BRS or EBS for wimax.
  5. I have received some solid information and confirmation earlier today from another member that leads me to believe a Sprint cell site near the intersection baseline road & foothills blvd in Roseville is in 4G testing mode today and nearing completion.
  6. Somewhere in the 1500-2000 range. The population density is huge in the bay area and they need all the sites they can get. In comparison, our market is slightly above 500 in total.
  7. Weak signal down there in the bay. Sites are set for capacity and have a coverage range of a few blocks before another site is supposed to pick up. Probably only around 50% of sites are LTE active so people get to edge of signals much quicker which results in lower speeds as LTE is very sensitive to reception.
  8. Sprint is updating the map layers. RIght now, it's probably only showing network vision upgrades and not including the legacy bandaid fixes. It happens every now and then.
  9. * looks at the permits issued for Arden Arcade.... 5 of 8 issued.. 1 ready to issue.. 2 unapplied...* mhmm.. Potentially.. post your location in my permit thread and we'll see if we can pinpoint which site could possibly be the culprit.
  10. Ah welcome to the site! Yep! There are some bleedover signal in Citrus Heights from some sites near the exit ramp of Interstate 80 near roseville which I think you're getting in Citrus Heights. Nevertheless, your part of town is well under way and yall should feel excited over there.... *goes and cries in south / southwest sacramento*
  11. PRL for majority Android devices have it PCS and SMR set as same priority. The Note 2's have a temporary 2000 PRL that restricts SMR due to some issue but should be shorted out relatively quickly. The Iphone 5's have PCS set as higher priority than SMR.
  12. Antennas... not panels... From what I understand, clearwire is reusing their old antennas. Don't expect TD-LTE applications for several months until Sprint and CW sort out their strategies.
  13. Yeah... go read the bottom of my permit thread post. Has every known contractor and their state license numbers.
  14. Varies widely depending on region. Anywhere from 40 to over 100 mhz of BRS / EBS depending on local leases and ownership. Typically 40 mhz of BRS nationwide though (correct me AJ)..
  15. Eh, 6x 3G accepted sites for Southeast Rancho Cordova & Rancho Murieta. Not a bad start.
  16. I would like to reiterate TMM's warning and state that further off topic posts & attacks on one and another will result in infractions and may conclude in the (temporary / permanent) closing of this thread. We're here to track Sprints progress be it good or bad and discuss it in a educated manner as this site is meant for wireless enthusiasts who wants to utilize the resources available on this site that cannot be found anywhere else. People, all we ask is for you all to stay on topic. Nothing more, nothing less.
  17. Just figured out that the cell tower that serves me with a -101 dBm signal has a building permit issued to WesTower crews for Network Vision upgrades months ago! A weak LTE signal must be coming!
  18. Discovered the City of West Sacramento permit information and found a great deal of issuance's for Sprint! More information in my sponsor thread.
  19. Yep. If anything gets accepted then Robert will report it. We depend on member reports for a picture of what exactly is going on.
  20. It's the calm before the storm at the moment. I expect a few sites here and there will be accepted every now and then but most sites are slated to begin over the summer so it's still early for mass acceptances. Probably best way to check on progress is to physically go to the cell sites and see if they're working on them. I think we won't see a steady stream of acceptances till mid july and august as most contractors appear to have begun in these past few weeks. -*edit*- Found a few more permits applied / issued and moving up to issuance. A new contractor as well - SBA Network Services.
