  1. South sacramento is part of unincorporated sacramento county and every cell site in south sac has been applied or issued. Just a matter of time before those start going live. Incorporated City of Sacramento are still weeks away from having LTE. Oh and good luck on getting that job!
  2. There are several Sprint applications for work on the north side of Stockton. Don't know if the permits are just being applied or issued. The stockton building department are not very descriptive...
  3. Yep and Verizon has begun. They're swapping out old antennas now and adding RRUs.
  4. Just cleaning out old inventory so they can take some "new" GS4s... *cough cough* ;-)
  5. Sounds like UCV. Lots of completed sites all around but not much acceptances.
  6. That is not a Sprint site. That is a clearwire wimax site with Samsung RRUs.
  7. All Sprint requires is a new BRS/EBS antenna and a dual mode TD-LTE / Wimax RRU of which Samsung can support 80mhz of spectrum or 4x 20mhz carriers or 2x 20+20mhz carrier aggregated channels. The Samsung MMBS (and other cabinets by other vendors) are modular and can accept any and all equipment or technology be it iden, hspa, lte, wimax, td-lte, etc with the proper additions to the base station. Adding TD-LTE gear to existing Network Vision sites will be very simple. When that occurs in a few months, the majority of Network Vision sites will be active with LTE and upgraded fiber backhaul. All that will be required is addition of Antennas & RRUs with corresponding hybrid fiber cables to connect & power said antennas alongside some minor additions to the base station to enable said technologies.
  8. Yep. Hopefully it'll show up on the acceptance reports soon and be integrated. Plenty of sites in the market appears to be finished and are just waiting inspection and integration in order to go live.
  9. They will add the TD-LTE equipment at a later time. It won't be something to think about for at least 3-5 months.
  10. Definitely looks like a new tower is online. ? Network Vision 1.0 equipment are configured to utilize CDMA 800 1x, LTE 800, PCS EVDO 3g, & PCS 1x upon installation. Clearwire TD-LTE will require additional antennas & RRU to utilize the 2500/2600mhz spectrum.
  11. It'll be quite easy to figure out when your speeds are exceeding 50 mbps DL on that 20mhz channel.
  12. Thread has ran its course. Discus softbank and what they might do over @ this thread http://s4gru.com/index.php?/topic/4191-softbank-new-sprint-discussion/.
  13. Easy. Go take a few photos of said tower and check out the other cell sites in your area that are accessible to you. Then come back here and post em so we can all seeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.
  14. Yep. New Network Vision antennas can give up to 10dBm greater reception due to newer designs & the radio heads right next to the antenna. CDMA 800 1x would dramatically increase voice coverage and reception by 10-20dBm when that gets active.
  15. Very nice pictures! Keep your eye on the sky (and on the road) and report when you see anyone working on them.
  16. Nope. It's located on park property which unfortunately falls under a different jurisdiction. Here's a google image.
  17. I've got over a half dozen Sprint sites in Reno that have permits issued that I've listed with address & additional information in my sponsor map if you're interested. Have fun in Alcatel-Lucent land!
  18. Here's the address he gave for the tower photos. 597 Kumie Lane, Reno, NV. 1775 Holcomb Ave, Reno, NV
