  1. So nearly all of Sprint's phones are "illegal" because they are called 4G or 4G LTE? I highly doubt that they will even call the iPhone LTE. They might go the way of the iPad and just call it "iPhone"
  2. WiMax is not administered by sprint and therefore cannot support MMS or SMS or voice calls. As far as protection sites, there is a comprehensive analysis in the wimax section called what is a protection site or something to that effect.
  3. How do they get a hard disc drive in that phone? That would be pretty thick and easily damaged for a cell phone... lol
  4. You guys really love touchwiz huh? Obvious sarcasm... lol
  5. Flash? What's that? Lol, I haven't had flash installed for a long time and don't miss it at all. The faster everyone accepts that mobile flash is dead, the sooner websites will update to HTML5.
  6. That is purely handset capability. There could be upgrades happening to the network, but SVDO is not a tell-tale sign of NV. Sorry...
  7. They are going directly at the iPad throat. 4G LTE, with a $50 plan for 250MB per month for a year (yes, I know 250MB is not much data, but for about $4 per month, it is really cheap for a backup plan to wifi when away from home) Too bad it runs on AT&T for data though. Maybe they will use Sprint, it says it supports 10 bands.
  8. Don't make me close this thread. Maybe you guys need to read the rules again.
  9. http://www.zagg.com/community/blog/750000-the-cost-to-legally-send-web-urls-in-text-messages/?utm_source=Blog&utm_medium=Facebook&utm_campaign=750k+txt+url This guy has one heck of a stable of patents. Doesn't actually sell anything though... strange
  10. Yeah, I keep insurance on phones until I can buy a replacement off craigslist for about $200, then I start saving my money for a replacement.
  11. As far as I know, work still has not started in Austin. English please. Kidding aside, the details per market are kept here http://s4gru.com/index.php?/topic/212-network-visionlte-deployment-running-list/ and Robert has DC's expected launch date as October.
  12. See this thread How can LOCATION X get LTE before LOCATION Y?! and
  13. Yeah, about that. The glass is fused to the display on the GS3, so that $32.99 replacement glass is worthless.
  14. The upgrades shown at network.sprint.com are NOT network vision related. That only tracks upgrades to the legacy network. The Minnesota market might be gearing up now, but Alexandria is in the Dakotas market which will be a 3rd or (probably) 4th round market and will not see any work start until sometime in 2013.

    Bent my EVO LTE

I have velcro to hold it in though.
  16. It's a non factor. Why are you so adamant about 10x10 carriers? Edit: the GS3 is UE category 3
