  1. http://tinypic.com/ is a good pic hosting site. Just upload it there and copy the url. Otherwise photobucket works great too and has an app, so you can do everything from your phone.
  2. There will be a new set of larger antennas alongside the legacy equipment. There will also be RRUs behind the antennas with a mess of wires hooking the antennas to the RRUs.
  3. One would think that they would start with the least downtilt and adjust it as adjacent sites came online, but it doesn't appear that way.
  4. I've noticed that battery life is very dependent on what ROM/Kernel you are running. I've gone from 2 days of battery life to where it won't make it through the workday (when I rarely even turn on the phone at work) For the most part, AOSP has given me the best battery life, although CM9 was pretty good at sipping battery once it stabilized.
  5. I have seen cell jammers before. I think they work by causing a bunch of interference and raising the EC/IO ratio, but they are legal with a permit AFAIK. The military uses them a fair amount, especially overseas.
  6. Ting would be burning bridges if they allowed potential customers to flash over phones with bad ESNs. That kind of stunt would net them some customers right away, but Ting's days would be numbered after that. Strictly on Ting. I really can't see Sprint postpaid, Boost or Virgin allowing Verizon phones to be activated for at least 5 years when VoLTE starts getting big and they have no choice (SIM swaps).
  7. Write were the 3evdo towers r now.
  8. Just to clarify and avoid confusion, the CEO of Ting was saying that Sprint might allow Ting to use Verizon Phones on their MVNO, not that Sprint would allow Verizon phones on the Sprint network.
  9. Iansltx brings up a good point. Is your music in MP3 format or something else? It is possible that the stock music app is struggling with decoding the files.
  10. It will only be connecting to CDMA 1x RTT on 800MHz though. EVDO (what people generally refer to as 3G) will only be broadcast on 1900MHz. Also, if you have a Nexus S as your profile indicates, you will not be connecting to 800MHz as that phone lacks the hardware to connect to the SMR band.
  11. Ha, reading at night does not work for this guy. It is a very good thing to help level the playing field.
  12. He was referring to the fact that it had already been said in this forum here
  13. You are not getting 22 Mbps upload speeds consistently, nor do you get 10 Mbps upload speeds on the EVO 4G.
  14. I need to go take a picture of the sprint store at the base of a Sprint cell site. It is rather humorous. Needless to say, you get perfect reception in the store...
  15. Makes me think of what the Sprint store reps told me about WiMax. "It's coming very soon" "they just have to upgrade the existing 3G Clearwire towers to WiMax and we will have it." Good thing I didn't hold my breath.
  16. If it's a backup battery, I could live without NFC. I rarely use it as it is. Sent from my Amazon Kindle Fire using Forum Runner
  17. The epic and epic touch had the same size and configuration batteries, they were different capacity though. The galaxy nexus battery is longer and has NFC, the standard battery has the same width, girth and connection configuration (plus NFC connection). Not sure about the S3.
  18. Yeah, speaking of... Maybe we should start clearing out the archives from when I was a n00b
  19. LOL, I'm not that old... Now if his name was Dirka Dirka Muhammad Jihad, I might have some flashbacks.
  20. I guess that depends on if you are in CT or Westchester County NY... If in CT, unless you are right on the border of NY, you will not see NV yet as the New York market stops at the border of CT and the towers in CT are not being deployed until the Southern CT market kicks off. If you are in NY, see here for sites that are scheduled to come online in August http://s4gru.com/index.php?/topic/1711-sprint-lte-august-2012-schedule-maps/page__hl__%2Bnew+%2Byork__fromsearch__1
  21. I was doing a little google research on this subject, and found a thread on ppcgeeks from 2010 with a post from you in it regarding *18... Wierd. I was like "Hey! I know that guy!"
  22. Both are second round markets that should start having sites come online in late 2012. http://s4gru.com/index.php?/topic/212-network-visionlte-deployment-running-list/ Please see the FAQ here http://s4gru.com/index.php?/topic/1704-frequently-asked-questions/
