  1. Would Sprints home phone connect service work for you? Last I saw it was $20 for unlimited calling. They also had an easy pay service credit making the equipment free.
  2. Well I guess the store you go to would play a big role in that. There aren't any corporate stores around here, only preferred retailers. I usually get pretty good service when I go in, there is also the website. Honestly if I was going to try out another network, I would set up the trial online and have the device mailed or store pick up if available.
  3. How is it a headache to set up a new line of service? Unless you are going for a promo for porting over a new line, you can ask for a temporary number and have your existing ported over it if you decide to keep it. I also did mention I think they should have a longer grace period, and to waive restocking fees if returned within the trial. With Sprints leasing program, you don't even need to pay any money up front to try out the service.
  4. I don't know about this particular plan, but I have changed plans many times in the past all while still under contract.
  5. I would hardly call having a $700 authorization hold on my credit card for a week or more no money up front. I do agree Sprint should have a better trial period. Maybe something like fully refund activation/service cost and waive re stocking fees if returned within a week.
  6. B41 is all over Syracuse, it hasn't been officially launched yet. Most sites have it online and broadcasting, I'm not sure what the hold up is with launching it.
  7. I haven't had any issues with hangouts message notifications or actual messages coming through. I don't know when it happened, but being able to finally select send via SMS, google voice, and hangouts solved my only remaining gripe. I still get duplicate messages showing when I send via SMS, but being able to toggle to google voice now I don't really care anymore. I do wish that MMS messages would come through via Google voice so I could access them on other devices, but I'm not sure if that's a Sprint limitation or Google's. 8. So they are waiving access fees for current customers that switch to the family share plan? Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  9. Has the update fixed the memory leak? Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  10. Why would anyone use their Airave for 3G data instead of their own WiFi connection? My Airave does reach a bit further than my router, but I would never intentionally use data through it when I have 85mbps available via WiFi. I do wish Sprint would release a LTE femtocell. Not because I want to use it for data, but because my Nexus 5 will randomly scan and pick up super weak B25 LTE if I don't forget to change the phone to 3G only and I've missed some calls because of it.
  11. I have that problem if I don't set my Nexus 5 to 3G mode in network settings. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  12. I've noticed good improvements in 3G after network vision work has been completed. Today while on lunch I was watching some video and didn't notice until the very end I was connected to Ev-DO and not LTE. BTW, this was faster than Verizon's b13 LTE in the same spot at the same time. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  13. The site you connect to may be congested, in which the top data users would be throttled. If the site is not congested then you don't get throttled regardless of how much data you have used.
  14. Everyone wants to save money, regardless of their credit score. How many of us jumped on Framily when it came out and we could save hundreds a year? I ended up saving so much I was able to add a hot spot and a tablet and still come out ahead. This is a good offer. Not everyone needs double the data, however pretty much everyone always wants to save money and cut monthly expenses. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  15. That's the loading screen, you'll get it every time you re start the phone. I've also had a few random reboots but haven't been able to figure out why.
  16. I get handed off between different LTE bands with an active data session all the time.
  17. My screen on time went up, but standby went down a lot. Before I would only lose 1-2% over night, now I'm losing 15-20%.
  18. Engineering screens still work on my Nexus 5 running lollipop. Even the radio band select inside the radio menu works where as before it would auto crash every time on kit kat.
  19. Not all home ISPs offer unlimited data, neither do all wireless providers. If T-Mobile is including throttled data over the data bucket cap (which is something I support BTW), speed tests should reflect what the customer is actually receiving. What's the purpose of a speed test? I know when I run one, I want to know what I'm getting. Not what someone else with a larger wallet could be getting.
  20. They should have their own speed test if they want to exempt it from data allotments. Kind of similar to how Sprint Zone will test your SMS/MMS/voice quality. They could have their own TMO app to also show speed test results. Other speed tests should be showing what you actually get, not what you could potentially be getting if you paid more. I get 85/85 on my home ISP, and that's what shows when I run speed tests. This would be no different than them giving me their 500/500 package, but only for speed tests. I could pay more for the higher throughput but I don't. Consumers could pay for more wireless high speed unthrottled data, but they don't. How is that any different?
  21. Those are leases. Also, you're likely to be paying more on a legacy plan and leasing than just moving to the new plans and leasing or buying with easy pay. Sent from my VS980 4G using Tapatalk
  22. I've never had a problem with outgoing calls while fully integrated.
  23. The newer plans with unlimited minutes still have roaming limits that are a separate pool. I don't remember what it is exactly, but it was something like 800 minutes.
  24. 2A is probably sufficient for the device, 2.4A will just allow it to charge faster if the charging circuit is capable of drawing the extra current. Remember, it's voltage that fries stuff. You could have a 200A power supply, as long as its the same 5V, the device is only going to draw what it can. The new ipad air has a smaller battery than last year's model, that might have something to do with why they provided a different charger.
