  1. It is the iPhone plan, you don't need to actually lease the phone as far as I know.
  2. The $15 service charge was for having a subsidized device after a certain point.
  3. Offering current flagship devices for almost half price via easy pay is a good start coupled with the new lineup of budget smart phones.
  4. The newer plans are cheaper because they don't include a subsidy built in. Look at unlimited my way and the current unlimited plan. $80 with subsidy, $60 without.
  5. AT&T's throttled speeds on the grandfathered unlimited plan are something like 128kbps, it should be obvious if he was hitting the cap and being throttled.
  6. 0 down out the door is a pretty nice option for anyone considering leasing. The leases aren't for me, but I definitely see how they are better for a lot of people.
  7. M7, and recently a m8 Harmon kardon edition. Before that, an evo LTE. I haven't used the m7 since about February and passed it on to my sister, I got the m8 when sprint initially offered the 15/month via easy pay deal and have since passed it on to my dad.
  8. If HTC keeps up their ridiculous memory management for sense roms, more ram won't help that from happening. Sent from my VS980 4G using Tapatalk
  9. That's what was standardized by 3gpp. Sent from my SM-T217S using Tapatalk
  10. It is included in the unlimited data add on for framily.
  11. Why would they go and deploy more cdma carriers on new spectrum?
  12. The new plans don't come with annual upgrades via easy pay, its an extra add on.
  13. Amplifying b25 won't help your handset maintain its uplink connection and would likely lead to greater interference. They do need to density if they are going to an all LTE network or there will be a reduction in voice coverage and reliability. Sent from my SM-T217S using Tapatalk
  14. I have the apk for 4.9.4 if you want to side load an older version on your g3. Sent from my SM-T217S using Tapatalk
  15. That kind of usage would not be a good fit for Ting's billing model. Sent from my SM-T217S using Tapatalk
  16. How much do you use per month? Ting is another decent sprint mvno, and they offer voice roaming which many others don't. You pay a base line fee of $6, then pay for what you actually use in buckets. You can also buy many older used sprint phones and activate them on ting. Complaining about service being shut off when you can't pay your bill is kind of ridiculous. I have fallen on hard times myself. A call to Sprint or Verizon explaining when and how you can pay will usually result in them working with you. I haven't had any experience with AT&T in this regard but I imagine they would be similar. If its something that continually happens, you should probably rethink your priorities and go with a lower cost service. Sent from my SM-T217S using Tapatalk
  17. It looks nice, it's too bad it will be an AT&T exclusive. I've been pretty happy with my Livepro, I was looking forward to seeing a newer version of it available. I don't see it mentioned, but it seems like the power bank is missing from the original. I use that feature on my Livepro a lot, it would be a shame if they got rid of it.
  18. The only functionality you'll find on a Samsung phone you can't duplicate on the nexus would be the stylus from the note series, Sprint's branded WiFi calling, and expandable storage. You don't have to use Google's camera app, it's just what is already there.
  19. The iden conversion is next to the fairgrounds along I690 and the lake, all four antenna's point at the fairgrounds. It made a huge difference at the state fair this year for usable data. I'm not sure how many other nextel sites are sitting unused, but I would love to see more of them converted. Even just unique clearwire wimax sites would make a big difference.
  20. Google.com/voice. You'll need to choose to integrate your Sprint number. You also need to use hangouts and download the hangouts dialer in order to make calls over data. The settings can be a little quirky, like choosing which dialer to make/receive calls from. I have hangouts dialer ring for incoming calls, if I don't answer it for a while it will ring the stock dialer on my nexus and answering the call on one will show as a missed call on the other. Also, any other device you are signed into hangouts on and have the dialer installed will also ring such as your tablet or computer. The benefit is you can make/receive calls and text messages from your Sprint number on multiple devices. There's also some advanced calling features available such as screening, recording, forwarding etc. The down side is you will lose your Sprint voicemail but it gets replaced by Google voice. Any saved or pending voice mails will be lost when you fully integrate. Also when google decides to mess with stuff you end up as a guinea pig until they fix it. When they transitioned google voice into hangouts there were a lot of weird texting/mms issues for a couple weeks. You can turn it off if you decide you don't like it though.
  21. Luckily with Sprint, you can use full integration with Google Voice and have svlte capability. I've been using it since hangouts got the merge with google voice and it works really well. The call quality is pretty good, and I don't even remember the last time I took a call on 1x.
  22. That's surprising to me, but I guess it sort of makes sense. Hspa can still be a decent experience for a lot of people. I would assume at some point in the next year or two T-Mobile postpaid will be mostly LTE capable handsets, as prices continue to go down. I still wouldn't think it would make sense to go and add hspa on 1900 if they were spectrum constrained and could only do a 5mhz LTE channel with umts. Sprint already gets tons of flak about their slow LTE, mostly thanks to their 5mhz deployment. It would be like Sprint opting for 3x3 LTE in 800 over 5x5, so they could add an evdo carrier (not that I'm sure if any phones even support evdo in smr).
  23. Does T-Mobile sell any phones that don't support LTE, or volte? If coverage isn't being decreased over the GSM footprint, I still don't see the point in adding hspa.
  24. I've been reading through this and several have mentioned that 1900 LTE has about the same range as 1900 GSM using the new equipment. Is that not really the case? I just don't see the point in adding hspa at all if they don't have to. A 10x10 LTE channel can handle more than a 5x5 LTE and a 5x5 hspa together.
  25. Why would they use 5x5 LTE and 5x5 hspa over one 10x10 LTE channel? I just don't see the point. Are volte calls not able to be handed off to gsm?
