I got an email today about an early upgrade offer with $50 service credit. It says the offer is good for two of my three lines (all are on framily), one which is still under contract until November and the other that just finished the contract in January. Fine print says $50 service credit applied within 2-3 invoices. We'd like to offer you the opportunity to upgrade to a new phone with an added gift meant especially for our most loyal customers. Upgrade by 3/29/15 to a new iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, Samsung Galaxy S® 5, or Samsung Galaxy S® 5 Sport with Sprint Lease™ or Sprint Easy PaySM, and we'll give you a $50 service credit. It's just a little "thank you" from us to you that'll make getting your new device even better. Even if you're not currently eligible to upgrade, this special offer allows you to upgrade early. So what are you waiting for? Visit a Sprint store to take advantage of this limited-time offer to upgrade with a $50 service credit! Hurry, because this offer is only valid until 3/29/15!

Is it possible to return my Note 4 after 14 days?
travismheim replied to BlueAngel's topic in General Topics
I haven't seen it in stores for a while, it is on sprint.com though. -
What does it look like without updated screen compatibility? Do they just get stretched to fit the new screen sizes?

Apple routers are nice, but with him only having problems with devices running on iOS 8 it makes me wonder if there is an underlying bug that isn't playing nice with his router firmware/hardware. I've dealt with similar problems over the years with a few different devices (windows, android, game consoles etc). With all the endless combinations of equipment and software versions out its bound to happen. Sent from my SM-T217S using Tapatalk

I don't know how it works with incoming/outgoing eCSFB calls from LTE, its something I've wondered about for a while. However when on CDMA (no LTE coverage, svlte device, phone in 3g mode etc), the prl is used, not the network. The prl is a list of technologies by area that let's the phone know what to scan for. Its why you'll get more evdo roaming on corporate accounts, since you get a different prl that allows it. Sent from my SM-T217S using Tapatalk

Ahh sorry. I must have misread. Its been a while since I looked at the stock prl, but I thought 1900 and 800 are the same but I could be mistaken. Sent from my VS980 4G using Tapatalk

Nothing weird about it. I used to have the same reservations, now my friends are taking the pictures for me.

Incorrect. Many use custom prls to prioritize 800 over 1900. Personally, I use one to prioritize my airave over the macro network. On some devices you can even force the radio to use smr only, but I don't recommend doing it unless you are 100% sure you know how to reverse it.

What phone are you using? Sent from my SM-T217S using Tapatalk

You could use a custom prl that prioritizes 800 over 1900. Sent from my SM-T217S using Tapatalk

No need to get a nexus for aosp, you can get the best of both worlds. M8 with stock android, if that's what you really wanted. I have the GPE port on my dads M8 just so I can troubleshoot with him easier since I haven't used sense in a while. Sent from my SM-T217S using Tapatalk

Service Alerts in Sprint Zone
travismheim replied to jf15219's topic in Network, Network Vision/LTE Deployment
I haven't messed with it since kit kat, but it doesn't work properly on the nexus 5 unless you manually edit something. I'll see if I can find the post with the info when I get home. Sent from my SM-T217S using Tapatalk -
I'm sure it will appear to function the same, but they do not work the same way. Sent from my SM-T217S using Tapatalk

I wonder if that will be the case for sprint WiFi calling. T-Mobile WiFi calling is set up differently than sprints. I don't remember the page but it was discussed in the T-Mobile network thread. It might be why its not available yet. Sent from my SM-T217S using Tapatalk

You can add a tablet with its own data bucket, or add it to a data share plan. I'm not sure, but I think they are waiving the tablet access fee on data share through 2015. After that its $10.

Maybe the problem is on Apple's end. They are unique with their activation server. Sprint has been able to handle unlocked phones on their network for over a year, the better question is why apple didn't make them all unlocked from the get go with one north american SKU. Google was able to do it, so should apple. Sent from my VS980 4G using Tapatalk

Hounding them on day one and then complaining about everything not going well isn't going to help. Both of you knew you were buying a phone that was originally locked when you purchased it, if you wanted an unlocked device you should have chosen one. This thread reminds me of the nexus 5 launch and people flipping out because they weren't being given Sim cards and some imei's weren't in the database right away. Give it a little time and let them have the chance to make it right, if they don't then you have the right to complain. This is a big change for the company, and with any big change its not expected to be smooth sailing right off the start. Sent from my SM-T217S using Tapatalk

Yes, it does. Though the phone does need to be unlocked, but I don't really see that being any different than using the fingerprint reader. The physical wallet card (optional, but free) is also an added touch when dealing with merchants that don't accept NFC, with the added benefit of not ever being required to carry my debit or credit cards. Also being able to send/request money via gmail/wallet similar to PayPal. It stores all loyalty and gift cards you have and will alert you of nearby merchants and automatically pull up a notification showing a scannable barcode (depending on your location settings you choose). There is one thing I would say apple pay may have over wallet, is that wallet does need to be unlocked via pin. I have my time out setting at 24 hours, after that it will continue to work, even without a data connection and without needing to open the app. The thing I like most about apple pay becoming popular though, is I do see it helping with NFC payment adoption. That and people don't look at me weird anymore when I tap and pay with my phone.
