  1. Sprints network was shot well before the iphone was released for sprint. The phone most responsible for destroying sprints network was the OG Evo.
  2. Just got back to atlanta, nothing yet.
  3. I fly back to atlanta tomorrow so I will definitely be looking out for it when they flip the switch.
  4. A pretty detailed thread over on xda, in addition to a new hboot, there is a new kernel and a new radio as well. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1765483
  5. I suspect the same thing but I guess we will see once the OTA has been dissected by the dev community. The dev community will definitely try. Stuff happens everyday and if someone needs to get a replacement phone more than likely it would have already been updated.
  6. You would think it would be common knowledge for any one who actually took the time to root but every time there is a new OTA there are a million threads asking the same damn question "Uhhh, is it safe for me to update even if I am rooted?". Then of course you have all the season vets saying don't do it, then they do it anyway then you see a lot of new threads popping up asking "when will I be able to get root again"?.......Very annoying!!!
  7. Can you combine these two threads? Odell beat you to it but he titled his thread differently. http://s4gru.com/ind...-working-again/
  8. Also to add, if you are rooted please do not attempt to download the update, just wait for devs to make the necessary changes so it will be safe. Edit: Apparently there is a new hboot(1.15.000) so definitely stay away if you are rooted and/or s-off since you will probably lose root access and who knows how long it will take to get root access again.
  9. This is a list of all that was fixed in the update: http://support.sprint.com/support/article/Find_and_update_the_software_version_on_your_HTC_EVO_4G_LTE/case-gz982789-20120531-124112?INTNAV=SU:DP:MVT
  10. I am guessing a day or two early just in case there are any minor bugs that need to get worked out. I will be back in atlanta thursday evening so I will definitely be waiting.

    HTC EVO 4G LTE

Well I also own a gnex and under low signal situations(in my office for example) I definitely drop/miss quite a few calls but that rarely happens with my evo under the same conditions. Also, the screen does flicker slightly on a rare occasion or two but it actually happens on both my gnex and evo. At this moment I am rooted and running a custom rom but I have basically gotten similar results when I was 100% stock. As far as overheating, no issues at all unless I am playing a game for an extended period of time which I would say is normal.

    HTC EVO 4G LTE

^ I am very impressed by the battery life on this phone. Yesterday for example, I took my phone off the charger at 6:45 am, I got to my office around 7am and I left at 5pm. In my office I get 1 maybe 2 bars at best with crappy data(wifi was on though). Throughout the day I downloaded a few app updates, several text messages and emails, about 3hrs 20mins worth of phone calls, about 45 minutes of music while I was jogging after work. By the time I put my phone back on the charger which was around 10pm I was still sitting at 39%. This phone is amazing.

    GPS on S3

I don't have a gs3 but I do have a gnex and evo lte and using the gps test app I can view about 11 to 12 satellites at any given moment on the gnex but on my evo lte I can view 22 to 24 satellites.
  14. In all seriousness though, I understand your pain. If atlanta wasn't a first round market I would have probably switched to att already, even with their inflated rates and limited data. Thats why I have donated so much to s4gru, the information provided by Robert is spot on and it gave me the confidence to stay with sprint through these tough times. Robert deserves a commission from the money he saved me by keeping me with sprint, so I donate as often as I can.
  15. What else do you expect? Of course they are ahead of sprint, both are twice the size of sprint with far deeper pockets than sprint and they started their buildouts long before sprint did. Yes, right now is a tough time to be a sprint customer but they are doing the best they can with what they got. If you feel that strongly about it, then cancel your service with sprint and go to who can give you what you are looking for, its not like you don't have a choice. Of course though, this is very easy for me to say since I live in atlanta and lte goes live next week.
  16. Welcome to the site Chong, I haven't been over at ppcgeeks much recently. You getting an lte signal right now? Which part of jonesboro are you again? He means Jonesboro Georgia.
