  1. Yeah, thats a given but since lte isn't available everywhere it would be nice to be able to the same thing while on 3g.
  2. Exactly, never give up certainty for uncertainty. That's usually never a good idea. Yeah, seems like they are. Right now sprint has a lot of debt and if they buy clearwire out then cleawires debt will now be reflected on sprints balance sheet which will make sprint look even more worse off than they really are and that wouldn't look good when it comes to other creditors that they already owe money too and may need additional financing from. With all that extra spectrum they could make a killing on the wholesale market. That's a lot of revenue with minimal overhead costs.
  3. Sprint is already the majority shareholder in clearwire so what can verizon do?
  4. Its just your standard sales tax, based on your address, so it doesn't matter if you bought it online. If you lived in a state that doesn't have a sales tax then it wouldn't have generated a sales tax online. EDIT: like what echo said right after me, it also depends on who you are buying it from as well.

    HTC EVO 4G LTE

I hope I didn't jinx this whole thing with my post from yesterday morning, LOL. I knew something was gonna go down but not on this level but this is the exact reason why I usually don't pre-order anything.

    HTC EVO 4G LTE

Someone at HTC definitely dropped the ball somewhere. When you are talking about millions of dollars of inventory getting shipped you need to damn make sure there aren't any reasons why they won't make it to their final destinations. Personally, I don't blame sprint at all but since I am sure they already took in million of dollars of pre-order money they do need to come out and let everyone know in detail as to whats going on and not put it on the shoulders of HTC.

    HTC EVO 4G LTE

When I read that I assumed they meant the one x not the evolte.
  8. What? You know what, I am gonna just pretend that I didn't even read this shit and that when I wake up in the morning this nonsense will be settled. Apple is so full of themselves.
  9. Sprint probably looked at all their pre-orders and said "Damn, I think we F'd up." I think the demand is more than they anticipated which is really saying a lot about how successful this phone will be. Or they figured "hey lets do a pre-order so we can take the customers money and make it seem like we will ship it out early only to then inform the customer that it will be late." Now they are sitting on a few million dollars collecting interest at the customers expense.

    HTC EVO 4G LTE

Well I’ll be damn, I guess I did call it right but this was to be expected. Now I do not doubt sprint one bit and I am more than confident that they have learned from previous mistakes but there is absolutely no way in determining demand on a phone like this. The galaxy nexus doesn’t count because we all know that the demand for the gnex is nothing in comparison to what the demand would be on the evolte. I think it would be fair to assume that all pre-orders made with in the first 24-48 hours should be filled and anyone else that ordered after that will have to wait a little longer for theirs to arrive.

    HTC EVO 4G LTE

You couldn't have been around for the original evo. We have absolutely no idea how many phones are available or how many pre-orders there are not including the various third party retailers that's doing pre-sales as well. Just last year sprint had a pre-sale for premier customers(for the evo 3d) and many people that bought the phone didn't get it until the following week while some did in fact get theirs early, myself included. So what am I basing this off of? I am basing this off of common sense, it will be very naive for anyone to think that every single pre-order will be shipped before friday. So yeah, if you pre-ordered then you may very well get it tomorrow and there will be others that will end up getting their orders filled next week.

I can't wait for the fire storm that will occur when at least half of the pre-orders don't get delivered until at least next week. Good luck to those who pre ordered.
  13. I am not tech guru but doesn't cdma use more juice than gsm? Also if they said they had it set up as cdma/lte(with no lte signal) versus just cdma which would also cause it to use a little more juice. So maybe I am reading this wrong but its almost as if they are saying that they were slightly disappointed since it has a slightly larger battery compared to the one x. Anyway, to me it would seem like the evolte will have excellent battery performance.
  14. LOL, so they called your bluff. Time for you to get a new poker face.
  15. I don't think so, I had some issues with my nexus the other day and I switched phones for a few days then switched back with out any issues.
  16. Based on the title of the thread I thought you were gonna ask the magical question of whether the evo lte will work on wimax, because damn, I have heard that question so much that its driving me insane. But since I took the time to actually read what you posted I can now reply like a normal person should. Seems to me like you got it all figured out and honestly I think its a fantastic idea. I was gonna sell both my evo 3d's but after reading what you posted I think I will actually keep one just in case of situations like this since I do travel quite often myself and most places that I personally go all have wimax already set up.
  17. I think the connection type causes it default to one or the other. If you are on 3g then the video will automatically play in standard quality but if you are on a 4g connection or wifi it will automatically play in high quality. No matter the connection type though you can still toggle between standard or high quality.
