  1. My guess would be that phones will start shipping on monday, so those that pre-ordered you should get your tracking info by monday. I wish I pre-ordered but oh well, I will be in the store first thing friday morning.
  2. Don't worry, none of us intended on taking anything to a personal level but like you said the lack of professionalism that comes from engadget at times is appalling and they should know better than to publish some of the things they do at times. They have really gone down hill over the last few years or so. For the most part I go there mainly for entertainment purposes in the comment sections.
  3. LOL, trust me bro he is a she. Her name is Myriam Joire, look it up.
  4. LMAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You really want to know what so damn funny(and sad at the same time actually) about what you said? That "dude" is actually a girl. LOL, I am dead serious, go look it up.
  5. Wow Daniel, those speeds are friggin amazing
  6. Engadget has some of the most inconsistent reviewers ever. I just don't understand that site at times, not to mention if you call them out on anything you'll probably get banned.
  7. Thats the thing though, you never really notice that sort of thing until you see something else with an even higher resolution.
  8. I didn't even think of that, 12mm thick for a device with a hardware keyboard is pretty awesome, only if it had a higher resolution though.
  9. This phone is definitely not a flagship phone, not being 12mm thick and having 800*480 wvga resolution. But if it has s4 in it and a gig of ram then it could very well be the fastest phone on sprints line up since it has a lot less pixels to push, LOL.
  10. Keep in mind that the msrp is not the same as the 2 year contract price when you buy it. MSRP is when you pay full retail for the phone WITHOUT signing a two year contract. For example the evo 4g lte msrp is $549.99 but priced at $199 on a two year contract. Also keep in mind that there are many carriers in other countries(China Telecom for example) where you can get ipohnes 4s's free on contract right now. So again the prices you are giving are subsidized prices and does not reflect the actual MSRP. I don't see how apple can tell carriers how much to charge on contract. Apple already got their money from the carriers when the carriers bought iphone inventory from them. How can apple then turn around and say how much to sell them for on or off contract? That makes absolutely no sense at all, at this point apple shouldn't even care what the carriers sell it for just as long as they sell it. Whether its sprint verizon or at&t I am sure they all spend upwards of close to $600 per iphone and to move units and attract customers they sell it to them at a lower price point then make the money back over the next 2 years on the contract that they will sign, which is also the purpose of etf if they cancel early.
  11. Damn multiquote isn't working for me at the moment so sorry for all the back to back posts. Anyway I can all but guarantee that the galaxy s3 and photon variant will go for $199 on a two year contract, my only uncertainty would be for the iphone 5 which can easily sell out at any price point. Also keep in mind that verizon was easily getting way with it because no one else had an lte network that was worth bragging about so they could have easily sell all their lte phones at $299. Since at&t is expanding their lte network and sprint is coming out swinging with their lte network, you not gonna see lte phones going for $299 anymore because carriers will be forced to now be competitive. Come to think of it, with an lte iphone I wouldn't be surprised if it does come out for $199 on contract and I also won't be surprised if carriers adjust their data prices so they can milk even more money out of their customers.
  12. Yes Apple does determine the price of the iphone when carriers buy inventory from them but I don't think apple determines how much the carriers can subsidize when selling it to customers. So, for example, if the iphone 5 is priced at $299 on a two year contract it wont be because of what apple wants, it will be because the carriers don't want to subsidize it as much.
  13. Sprint has no reason so price match since its basically a win win situation for them. Also keep in mind that even though places like wirefly sell their phones cheap, they also tack on etf's in addition to sprints own etf. So even though you get a better deal through retailers like wirefly, in the event you have to cancel your service it will probably cost you twice as much to do so.

    HTC EVO 4G LTE

Wow, some of those pictures came out really nice.
  15. The more I talk about the evolte the more excited I get. To this day the most excited I have ever been for a phone was for the og evo, my excitement for the evolte is getting pretty close to that.
  16. Damn, forgot that part as well, thanks.
  17. Did you not read the htc one x review on engadget? They are in love with the one x and the two main issues with the phone they wish they could have changed was adding a dedicated shutter button and a larger battery(even though it got great marks for battery performance). So guess what the evo lte should get slightly better marks being that it has the two things they wanted on the phone to make it perfect which is a larger battery and dedicated camera button.
  18. Thanks for posting this, I think it goes a long way in maintaining your credibility to those out there that may have doubts about you and this site.
  19. Wish I could pre order but I am flying out on business tomorrow to go the virgin islands so I will wait until I get there to purchase it on release day. This kinda works out for me anyway since I am buying two evolte's and there isn't any sales tax there so I will be saving a few dollars by buying it there.

    HTC EVO 4G LTE

The evo 3d was a different situation though. The evo 3d wasn't a preorder situation, sprint allocated a few units so that premier customers could straight up purchase it and get theirs early. Still though, I do agree that many preorders will get filled early for sure.

    HTC EVO 4G LTE

I think this is a fairly decent analogy. First off when it comes to phones there will always be something better right around the corner so whats the point of waiting? Like with women, I don't care how hot she is there will always be another woman right around the corner thats gonna be even hotter so if you gonna wait for the hottest chick ever then you will be waiting for a very long time. So like I always tell my friends, never give up certainty for uncertainty. But like what Robert said though you may as well try both. So back to phones, get the evo and if the s3 floats your boat then you can get that and sell the evo which will still have a pretty high resale value and that way you will be happy instead of doubting yourself.
  22. Yeah, I know there would be differences depending on area just wasn't sure by how much.
  23. So on average how many miles would you say for a typical urban area?
  24. I guess I am talking about simply getting a signal in general not necessarily an lte signal.
