  1. I was wondering the same thing as far as what kind of range a typical tower will have. I am guessing an average of about 3 to 5 miles in real world situations. Maybe someone else can chime in with an answer.
  2. Yeah, visited a few areas around the city and nothing yet. There towers close to my house as well and nothing yet either.
  3. I guess they thought you weren't hot enough for them, LOL.
  4. Yep, got the same thing earlier today
  5. LOL, so I guess you are the "glass is half full" type of person.
  6. Well just like with the majority of same model phones that are released on att/sprint/verizon/tmobile, there is usually a cosmetic difference between models so each carrier can distinguish themselves from the competition. So IMO I think its very naive to think that the U.S. version of the s3 will look exactly like the international version.
  7. Uhhh, no roaming with metro pcs lte or anyone else's lte for that matter.
  8. When it comes to "gimping" phones verizon is the one that is usually guilty as charged not sprint.
  9. I am not worried one bit, s-off will be accomplished soon enough.
  10. I really don't care about benchmarks but engadget managed to run a few in comparison to the one x, one s, and note http://www.engadget....iii-benchmarks/ Few more from gsmarena. http://www.gsmarena.com/samsung_galaxy_s_iii_flexes_muscles_on_benchmarks-news-4201.php
  11. That is so disappointing. I love the screen on my gnex but the pentile layout does bother me when it comes to viewing certain content but all in all its still a great display. I was fortunate to play with a one x today and I literally couldn't believe how beautiful the screen is, its definitely no contest when it comes to screen tech but the gnex definitely wins when it comes to black levels.
  12. Not only is the evo lte capable of doing all those things you mentioned but it also has the capability of getting my fiancee in the kitchen and cook more(I am not even making this up) I showed her several youtube videos and she told me she will do anything if I get her one as well, LOL.
  13. +1 for roam control not to mention titanium backup is a must as well as wifitether. Root is a must for me as well.
  14. Typically night time will bring higher speeds anyway since the network wouldn't be stressed as much. For example here in atlanta, my average speeds in the day time use to be 250kbps max but late at night and early in the morning I would easily average 2200kbps easily. Now since sprint have improved slightly I am now averaging about 600 to 1000kbps but again late at nights I still average same 2200kbps.
  15. I was in orlando last summer attending a family reunion. My sister has a thunderbolt which I was using and we had lte coverage where ever we went, same goes for atlanta where we both live, lte coverage is pretty consistent.
  16. Well, this kind of question will get you a lot of different answers but since I just bought a galaxy nexus on release day and since I am also planning on getting an evolte when its released I think I can asnwer your question. Now as far as specs goes there isn't any doubt that the evolte exceeds the gnex but this spec war in my opinion is getting out of hand. These companies really need to focus more on user experience/battery performance versus who has the most cores. Anyway, there are other phones that have better specs(not by much) than the gnex but I hardly doubt you can find a phone thats any more responsive than the gnex. Everything I click on opens up instantaneously, there isn't any lag whatsoever when using this device. Some people may say to not waste an upgrade on a phone with last years specs but the gnex really is a great phone to own. The screen is beautiful to look at even though the pentile display gets on my nerves at times, especially on fine print but for the most part the display is great. As far as the evolte, based on the one x reviews the screen(slcd 2) is the best screen on the market so far which is saying a lot and even though the camera may not be the absolute best smartphone camera it does have quite a bit of features that put many other smartphone cameras to shame. And then there is sense 4.0 which seems to be a lot less resource hungry and compliments android 4.0 versus trying to replace it. So to answer your question if you aren't entirely in a rush I would say just wait for the evolte but just know the gnex isn't a bad option either.

    HTC EVO 4G LTE

Every rumor I have heard so far I have taken with a grain of salt but goodandevo, even though they are a relatively small site, have proven themselves before so I am having a hard time not believing this. I am so excited!!!
  19. Wait what? I am so jealous of you right now. I have visited 4 sites so far in the southern part of atlanta and have yet to get an lte signal.
